Where do you find your inspiration?
With the nature of the colours I use, I’m definitely influenced by my surroundings. I live in the middle of the forest and all of these waving trees. Come summer I’ll be surrounded by verdant greens and I’m sure I’ll want to use a lush combination of fresh greens and sunny yellows. I’m so grateful for nature and the constant inspiration it brings.
Tell us more about your commitment to sustainability?
We talk about sustainability a lot in our business, and I prefer to use the word thoughtful. We’re really conscious about what we make and I’d never make anything I wouldn’t have in my own home. Our fabric is organic but we don’t really shout about it. A lot of paints I came across were quite toxic so we decided to make our own, which are water based eco and drain safe.
We can’t help but notice your incredible home. Tell us about your interiors style?
I haven’t studied interior design, and I’m not worried about following any rules. I just wanted a space that’s really warm and welcoming and exciting. I love open shelves and love to see all my books, pans, glassware. I like to think you see quite a lot of us in our home, it’s so expressive. My favourite space is our sitting room, with a huge stone fireplace which we’ve painted, and our pink sofas strewn with tapestry cushions. My happiest moments are when we’ve downed tools and we’re all sitting around the fire with the dog and it’s all very low-key, relaxed, it’s not perfect but it’s the place where I feel most safe and at home.
