Charities we support

We’re proud to support some brilliant charities who are working hard to make the world a bit brighter.

Restoring rainforest with REGUA

We’ve purchased 62 acres of deforested land in Brazil which will support the planting of around 25,000 trees – a significant contribution towards reducing carbon in the atmosphere and biodiversity protection. This land will be managed and restored by REGUA, whose mission is the long-term conservation of the Atlantic Rainforest and its biodiversity in the Guapiaçu valley, near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

We’re also proud to work with the National Forest and contribute to their vision for a more sustainable future. With our warehouse in Leicester located next door to a major new National Forest woodland, it felt like a natural step to give a donation which was equivalent to supporting 2000 trees in the Forest. For almost 30 years the National Forest has been demonstrating that wildlife can be restored across 200 square miles of Central England through the creation of woodlands.

British baby banks

For the past year, we’ve been working with British baby banks in order to support families who could do with a helping hand. So far, we’ve donated almost 500 items of clothing to Baby Basics, Little Village and AberNecessities, and we’d now be delighted if you’d consider doing the same.

Not only is donating to initiatives such as this a gesture of togetherness in these uncertain times, it’s also a good thing for the planet. Taking part couldn’t be simpler. All you need to do is box up the items (your latest Boden packaging would be great) and send them on.

We’re looking for clean, stain-free clothing in sizes 0–6 years, baby and children’s bed linen and towels. Please don’t send anything with ‘mummy’ or ‘daddy’ on it, or which references a religious festival such as Christmas. Donations will be stored for 72 hours before use to ensure they’re Covid secure.

National Police Aid Convoys & Scope

The National Police Aid Convoys (NPAC) is a fantastic organisation which delivers humanitarian aid to places where there have been disasters or there is a need for emergency support (Zambia, Malawi, Sierra Leone, the Gambia, Rwanda, Ghana, Somalia, and Pakistan). Since 2019, we have donated not fit for sale clothing to The Commonwealth of Dominica, Syria and Africa.

Scope is a charity that Boden has donated unsold, end of season clothing to since 2013. During this time almost £1 million has been raised from the sales to help them with their campaign to create a fairer and more equal society for people with disabilities and providing practical information and emotional support to those who need it.

Customers who take part in our ‘Pass It On’ clothing recycling scheme will also be contributing to the great work that both of these organisations continue to do. Click here to find out more.
