Friday night: I've swapped the earthy charms of North Acton for the glamour of NYC. It may be 3am back in London, but it's only 10pm in the city that never sleeps. Out on the town for some 'she's gotta have it' trendspotting.
Saturday: You'd think every last inch of Manhattan had been raked over, but there's always something to discover. Today the owner of a vintage shop took a bit of a shine to me and ushered me into her storeroom filled with 1930s shoe trims - originally worn clipped onto shoes like costume jewellery. An amazing time capsule.
