I rated these jeans as being true to size, which is generally true but with this exception - I totally agree with other reviewers about the strange baggy area under the bottom and around the groin which for me completely spoiled the look of what was otherwise a perfect fitting pair of jeans. Beautiful soft denim and a great and flattering fit everywhere else - especially in the leg; what a shame these had to go back.

I have 3 other pairs of Boden flared jeans from previous years which do not have this problem - please Boden can you fix this because they are perfect otherwise and wash brilliantly. Would buy them back in a flash without the baggy bottom!

Boden have gotten it right with their petite range of trousers and jeans this season- a really great fit and well made (and in my opinion, not at all "mumsy"). This is my second pair of jeans this spring (I also have the Weekender Jeans, which are great for a more casual look). These jeans fit well in the waist (no gaping) and are not too short for me (although I'm 5' nothing)! I have the darker denim and it's smart enough to wear out in the evening. Looks great with wedges and heels. They do have a bit of stretch which makes them comfortable and not too stiff or tight beyond decent! They are just right.

I bought these jeans in white for the summer. I ordered them in a size 8 so that they would be a little 'roomy' on hot days as my usual size 6 can be a bit 'snug'. However, they were enormous. I could practically take them off without un-zipping them. Such a disappointment that the sizing was so wrong. They have gone back!

This was my first time with buying Boden jeans. I'd not taken the plunge before as I was uncertain about the fit. I'm an apple shape - average height, muscular legs, a bit of a wobbly tum.

From reading the helpful reviews here first, I went with the 14R size. I'm glad that I did as a 12 would definitely have been too tight on the thighs and hips and a 16 would have swamped me.

I like the soft, mid-weight fabric which is a good choice for a Spring to Summer look. It's also soft, stretchy and has a comfy feel. The cut on the thighs and the flare at the calf is very flattering; I was impressed by how nice my legs can look!

The waist has a bit of extra room, which is okay for me, but there also seems to be an excess of fabric around the groin. Pulling the waistband up to my natural waist with a tight belt causes the fabric to crease, which accentuates the stomach. If the waistband is left loose it drops down and the extra fabric creates a slightly baggy look at the crotch.

However, I do have to stress that I find the jeans really comfortable, this problem is only noticeable if a top is tucked in or it is waist length. With a tunic top, long t-shirt or layers that reach the hip you get the trim leg effect without the creases/bagginess being visible.

I look forward to giving these a good wear on holiday and lazy Sundays.

I was really pleased with these jeans. Ordered them in indigo, in a 12L. At 5'10" tall, I wasn't sure if they'd be long enough but they are absolutely perfect! They are quite slim fitting, had to breathe in to fasten them (ahem!) but they'll give a bit. They fit well on the legs and flare out nicely, not too flared at the bottom. The material feels a bit thinner than some jeans, but they have a nice stretch to them which make them flattering and comfortable (provided I don't put any pounds on!). I like the colour and the fact that they're a bit higher waisted, so they don't cut your hips in half and give you a muffin top. So all in all, a winner.

I was really excited about receiving these jeans. I have slim legs and a bit of a tummy, but whilst the jeans fitted my waist and tummy area well, the bottom and thigh area were too big. I ordered the white in a size 14. i think that going down a size would have given a better fit across my thighs, but would have been too small at the waist.

Another thing that I didn't like was the contrast trim stitching in a taupe colour. Would have been much better in white.

The good points about this item are that the fabric is good quality and I loved the flared leg. The length was also perfect for wearing with a small heel.

Unfortunately though this is another item going back.

Ooh just received my new Jeans...I think I may have found the perfect pair!!! These are great for comfort and style, I can wear these when playing with my kids, to dressing up with nice heels to wear out! I can wear these for all occasions! brilliant - going to have to order some more!

What can I say? I loved these jeans. I am a curvy size 12 and petite. Usually petite jeans are too short for me but these are great with a small Heel. The fitting on the leg is great and makes me feel quite leggy and the high back pockets makes my bum seem quite small and pert - no mean feat these days!
