I can be a 10 or a 12, and when I read the other reviews, ordered a 12. It turned out to be very generous across the hips and thighs and not the pencil-shape it looks in the photos. The fabric is very thin and the waistband is only a contrast strip of similar material : it all felt like it would crease badly after a short time - all in all a big disappointment so it went back.
