I don't normally buy or wear skirts for work and wouldn't have been drawn to this one from seeing it in the photo. However, I ordered it to go with the matching jacket (which is also fabulous) and I'm SO pleased with it!
I have a straight-up-and-down figure and often find skirts very tight around the waist but baggy on the hips, this one is perfect, though. The waist is very comfortable (in my normal size) and hips fit nicely. It is just on my knee (I'm 5'5"), which I was pleasantly surprised about - expected it to be longer. Very good length for work. The pleats are lovely, really flattering, and the material quality excellent. Well done Boden - spot on!

This skirt is a beautiful fabric and I loved the multicoloured fabric detail on the inside of the waist band however the fit was not at all flattering to my pear shape. It came up too big in the waist and twisted around my body as I walked but pulled and creased across the hips after sitting down all day.

This is a good skirt for those with a waist and hips. I am sometimes a 12, sometimes a 14 and the 12 is a nice fit, though the wool is fine and everything you wear underneath shows through without a slip. At nearly 5'9', the long length is just right for knee length.

I should have taken more notice of the reviews! This skirt is big for its size - the hips are way out and the waist a little out - I am going to risk it and try to exchange it for the smaller size as I like the design of the skirt - I am also going to order the long as opposed to the regular as I like my skirts a bit longer than this comes up - I am about 5ft 9 and it sits on the knee in regular, I'd like it more midi length - any way fingers crossed the exchanged one fits! i wont keep it and get it altered if it doesn't as i think the skirt is too expensive for that - at the price it is you would want it to fit well first time! It is a little over priced but I am having trouble finding nice skirts this season so don't have much choice but to pay the higher price....

After reading previous reviews that said this came up small, I ordered a 6. I could get it on but couldn't do it up so I exchanged for an 8. This was too big at the waist and as a result it looked too long and frumpy when worn. A pity because the design and fabric are lovely, and I really need some smart tailored things for work.
