I wanted a swishy type above-knee skirt that hides my many imperfections yet enables me to ride my bike without getting tangled up in the back wheel. This fits the bill!
It's slightly above my knee (I'm 5' 2"), and my seven-year-old daughter was very impressed when I wore it for the first time. Her taste is not necessarily perfect, but I think she was right in this instance.
If I have one quibble (and this is the reason for four stars rather than five), it's that the waistband is very wide and doesn't sit entirely well on me as I have no discernible waist. I'd have preferred a narrower one, but as I sized up (from a 10 to a 12), it is noticeable rather than uncomfortable.
All in all, I am very happy with it!

I have a slight pot belly and a wide bum so this is one of the only skirt styles which is flattering for me. Plus it finishes just above the knee so is flattering for the legs/calves but isn't too short for my age. I am going to wear it with a vest top and the Commo garden, so a lovely comfy relaxed but stylish look. I would love Boden to do this again but in other colours - white, natural, pewter, bright pink - so I can wear with more things. I have looked around and can't find anything like it anywhere except as a mini skirt! I'll wear it summer and winter, so I hope it features in another catalogue soon.

Great skirt for comfort - for doing things in garden and on allotment and quick cycle into town for shops etc. The waist is very big for the size - but I often have trouble with boden skirts round the waist so was expecting that (either I have small waist for my hips or i have big hips for my waist - not sure which!!).
The only drawback for me was that the length (a little longer than above knee) and the colour I chose (truffle) combined to make it feel a little dowdy and a little TOO much like comfort dressing. Perhaps I should have gone for the pink.
