How disappointing! These boots have HUGE calves! I knew that they might be on the large side but they are in fact one and a half centimeters bigger than stated. The photo on the website is certainly a narrower fit. The shoe part of the boot is a great fit, but the calf part is as big as a Wellington boot. Living in Australia I am very disappointed as I cannot return these, so will be taking them to a bootmakers to have them made narrower - no doubt at great expense , [...] This is definately the last time I order shoes from Boden as I ordered the canvas satin shoes in the same size (all my Boden shoes are a perfect fit 41) and they are too small and being rubber won't stretch. Boden you need to get your sizing and on-line measurements spot on as a mail order company

These boots are just lovely.
Suede like butter, cheeky red leather lining. Hesitated because they are suede and to replace my "do everything" boots but I think Ill put up with the suede marking they are so splendid!
Chose the tobacco colour which just looks lovely with most of my wardrobe.Well done Boden, am delighted!

I bought these in dark sand, great colour which goes with anything. Lovely comfy boots, zip up the back is really nice detail and the red leather finish inside is gorgeous! Only down side is I wouldn't want to wear them in the rain as might spoil suede.

As I have one calf slightly bigger than the other, these boots are perfect for me. Great fit and gorgeous colour - I bought them in tan.Look great to dress up, or for casual wear.

I am so disappointed, they were very expensive, so waited until they were in the sale. I expected them to follow the shape of my leg up to my knee not bulge out at the back of my leg. Shame.

I love these boots. After reading the other reviews I decided to order them half a size smaller - wish I hadn't. I'll be wearing them as winter boots in Australia and it means I won't be able to wear a sock with them, may get away with tights though! The suede is deliciously soft and the red leather lining? Swoon!

I bought these boots in the Dark Tobacco colour and I as I am 5ft 11 I was hoping they would be long in the leg and I'm not disappointed - fantastic boot - only slight complaint is that they are a little wide at the ankle area - but keeping them and will wear them lots.

over the years i have bought many things from Boden, including boots and occasionally feel i have to write a review....this is one of those occasions...

These boots are soo lovely, i have the tabacco / tan colour, i wouldn`t change thing. i don`t have skinny legs and find these a great fit.Back zip is nice for a change

The main thing for me is the length, i really don`t like knee high boots that finish at the calf i like them to be longer and these are perfect, they make your legs look longer, always a bonus !!Boden please make these for the winter

These are very good quality and smell lovely!! The lighter colour is so perfect for outfits in Spring and they look so lovely on. My biggest tick for these is the height of the boot as I'm tall (5'10) and boots never come up high enough these are pretty good- one of the best pairs I've tried. I am definitely keeping them, however in all honesty I am always a sz 7 and these in the 41 are a little large in the foot and the calf is a little generous too. Not enough of a bother to exchange though as I'd like the option to tuck in thicker trousers and wear these in the Autumn too. If you are between sizes - I'd size down on these as previous reviewers are correct these are generous.[...]
