I tried this dress in size 10L- I am 5,9 and between a 10-12. I found the waist perfect but the cut of the shoulders was too broad, and since the material (orange stripes) was quite stiff the dress sat a bit oddly there. Had to return, sadly, as the fabric was great.

Bought this for a family party - stylish and smart but I can also wear to work after the event. I know I am going to wear it a lot!

Made of a relatively heavy, stiffish fabric, this dress would stretch over the seasons changes - but not over a fuller bust!!
I take size 14-16 in Boden, depending on the garment. The 14 fitted nicely in all but the bust area, which was flatteningly tight!!
I sent for a replacement 16 which I expected to be too big
However, it differed very little overall, but the bust fits ok
If I were very fussy I'd say that the shoulders are a tad large now & the neckline not quite as well 'seated' but overall the dress is fine
One can't expect personal tailoring for a mass-produced price, & on the High Street such a dress would be twice this offer price

I had ordered it in the blue stripes. I must confess that I didn't even bother getting it out of its pack, the colour looked very dull.

The stripes were not stand out enough to look interesting and looked washed out before the first wear.

Although this dress fitted really well and the fit and style looked good the material just didn't seem quite right. The colour really didn't do much for me either. So sorry Boden, but have returned the dress.

I ordered this in a 14, going by garment measurements, but although it fitted, it flattened my bust - which is emphatically the 14 bit of me!!

I have some Boden garments in a 14 (mostly tops/dresses) & some in a 16 (bottoms & very fitted items)

I liked it sufficiently to try next size up, only available in long. Long isnt too long even though the regular wasn't too short!!

I wonder whether Boden garments these days can be a tad haphazard in their construction now that the Company has got so big

16 is not too big on the hips - it seems much the same fit as the 14 there! - & is better on the bust. The downside is that the shoulders don't fit quite as well, but I'm going to give it a chance

And possibly repeat in the Iris (I have the yellow spots) as it is such an appealing heavy fabric & I feel the dress will be useful

I really wanted to like this dress. As I am only 5ft 3inches tall, I ordered the dress in regular. I have an hour shaped figure, so thought this would look really good. I am between a 10-12 in Boden dresses depending on the cut. This just did'nt sit right on me. It also had a funny smell to it, so had to go back. Like some others lately I have found sizing to be somewhat erratic. Please sort out. I used to be able to buy my size and it would fit. Now I just never know.
