I really loved the look of this dress, so decided to ignore the reviews about how big this was on the bust and give it a go. Sadly the reviews were right. I loved the colour and style, but the fit just wasn't good enough to keep it. So sadly I'm returning it....

I bought this for a special event and received lots of compliments. Unlike an earlier reviewer I thought the colour was a lovely rich cream any paler and it could be in danger of looking like a wedding dress. It was a bit bigger on the top than I ideally would have liked but as I wore the short chiffon trim cardigan in navy with it they seemed to work well together.

The fabric for this dress is absolutely amazing - a beautiful, rich, clotted cream colour. However, it just won't work with my curvy figure - not enough extra room allowed for a bust so I've had to return it.
However, I couldn't help wishing that this fabric had been used to make a very smart version of the Ponte Roma dress.....sigh...

Bought this for a special event and was the perfect balance of smart without going OTT. Loved the fabric and crochet detail. Found the 12 slightly big on the top half (but I often do with dresses) and wide at the waist but the 10 was too tight

I waited ages to get this dress as I fell in love with it !!!!! But gosh was I disappointed! The first disappointment was the colour! it looked a dirty cream rather than a creamy cream! Still I waited this long so I tried it on what a major disappointment again, it comes up small and has no give in it on me, it looked shapeless and dare I say dowdy! On closer inspection of the dress I was shocked to see loose threads and all in all not as good quality as my usual Boden purchases. I see that the dress was made in China and I have sent back a few dresses recently due to the bad sizing and they were all made in China!!!! This dress would suit smaller framed ladies better rather than the larger curvy ladies. Such a shame that we do not see more items made in this country.

This is a beautiful and well made dress but much too big in the bust area for me, it fitted everywhere else. I ordered the size 8 and have never had this problem with any of my other boden dresses. Unfortunately I had to return it.

This dress is a lovely patten with broiderie galore, and nice touches on the neckline and waist. The fit and design are well thought out, it hung well, and I didn't find that it was loose anywhere, in fact it was quite snug. The fabric is substantial and with the lining inside, can make it feel a bit stiff, but softens with a touch of fabric softener in the rather gentle hand wash that I gave it. This dress goes with everything, and has a feminine, ladylike look without being too girly. The only slight negative for me was the colour, which is not as light as it appears and looked rather beige. Nonetheless, this is still a lovely dress, and ideal for combining with other neutral colours to give a classic and indeed , classy look which is very fashionable this season.

Had high hopes for this dress - should have paid more attention though to previous reviewers comments - odd shape and big in the bust - I think if you are a 'D' cup or over this dress would fit but anything under and the top gapes - disappointing so will be returning.
