Our new cotton silk dress has a beautiful scoop neck and a lovely retro feel. The net beneath the skirt adds shape in a fifties fashion and the back of the dress is decorated with lovely, fabric covered buttons. We think it's versatile enough for just about any kind of occasion.

I would love Boden to do this exact dress again but in a range of gorgeous plain colours or even non floral fabrics that would give it a more contemporary feel. The fifties style is the most flattering of all for my figure and I've been searching for something like this for special occasions, however combining this floral pattern (the bright one) with the 50s style made me look frumpy rather than stylish/chic. This could be a summer or winter occassion dress if Boden could do it plain plus some other fabric options. I hope they give it another go as I would definitely buy it.

This dress is just beautiful, well made and it fitted me perfectly (I come within the body bust and waist size exactly). I ordered the pastel blue/mauves and it suits my fair colouring. Sadly I am no longer young and my tummy is not as flat as it was so this dress didn't suit me. I am very reluctantly returning it and I'm sure that it will be perfect for someone younger. It matches the lavender tie-front cardi perfectly!

I have eyed up this dress for a few weeks and thought I'd take advantage of the 25% off dresses offer. Undeniably it is a thing of beauty, but I just didn't suit me. The fit felt overly large - I have lots of Boden dresses and usually a 14 is perfect for me but I felt this was overly loose on the bust and, coupled with the floral pattern, it made me look enormous on top. I'm sure someone else will snap it up when it returns home to Boden but it just goes to show it's not for everyone.

Unfortunately this dress was too snug in the 14, and too big and shapeless in the 16. It's a lovely quirky design and feels wonderfully substantial, it's a very special dress.
I tried on both colourways and found the bright dress more flattering. The muted colourway dress has a purple waist ribbon and bow which is more contrasting and obvious, this made my waist appear wide and broad. However, the bright red/cyan/yellow dress has a more muted blue ribbon which doesn't draw attention.
Very disappointed that it wasn't for me...

I ordered this dress in both colours. The blue/lilac one is really lovely muted colours. The other one is very summery and bright. I was hoping this would do for a wedding but unfortunately it's not right for me. If I'm honest, it looks a bit young on me-I think that's because the skirt sticks out and somehow looks too 'girly'. However, it is a beautiful dress and for you younger ones a real steal with the 25% discount!
