I ordered this on a whim, I wasn't sure of the bold pattern - but fell in love as soon as I put it on. Stunning design and a perfect fit. Only grumble is the pockets - which do gape and spoil the line. I'm tempted to wondaweb them down!
I ordered the 8L in radish. I am usually an 8 - but often the bust is a little snug, but this fits perfectly. The length is good for me - just on the knee. I'm 5'4" but just the wrong side of 40 so don't want to show too much leg, if going tightless. The colours are great and being lined means it can be worn with tights on cooler days and doesn't ride up.
I agree its probably not a dress for a warm summer day - but how many of those do we get!

I had been eagerly anticipating the arrival of this dress for several weeks as the photo was stunning and it looked perfect for holidays. However, although the dress fitted well, the fabric is too thick for a summer dress and is also lined which makes it even cosier! The pockets were the last straw as they add bulk just where you don't need it. I'm afraid this dress will be returned.

I wear this dress over leggings with flip flops, with heels and little cardi for smarter occasions and just adore it! In fact I have the green one too and am always complimented when I wear it.
I'm an apple shape and find the pockets really flattering. I'm so pleased to find a dress without a nipped in waist.
I also love the fabric and the quality of the lining, which ensures it doesn't cling. It also packs well and doesn't crease. I can't ask for more! Would love to see more like this!

This is one of the few Boden garments that is true to size for me I usually find a size 12 a bit tight on the hips but this was just right. I ordered the long as at my age I don't want to show too much leg and found the length just right (to the knee )The shape is flattering and I feel very stylish wearing it. The only con is the pockets which spoils the clean cut a little, the dress didn't need them.

Fabric excellent quality, including the lining. Washes like a dream and needs minimal ironing. Love the pockets on the front - I am slim in the hip so they don't gape on me. Stunning design. Really enjoyed wearing this on holiday in Naples and on day out to Pompeii!

Beautiful green-navy colours, navy is just right (no purple undertone) and green vibrant. I like this fabic - same as 2 seasons ago stencil dress. No stretch but fabric feels very good quality. Not very fitted which suits me well. Only criticism would be about pockets, totally unecessary, just gape even when standing straight - hence one star less. Dress is quite short, 10R above knee and I am 5'2".

I love Boden shift dresses but find that they can be a little "sack like". [...] it fits like a dream. I am usually a busty size 12, but the 10 long (just on the knee on my 5'7" height) fits like a dream and gives me a great outline. The pattern is stunning and so refreshing.

This dress is so flattering on me, true to size, bought a 12r. No Give to the material so if you are apple shaped or have a large bust go up a size. This is a very straight up and down shaped dress I dont think it would really suit a pear shaped figure. Too tight and the kangaroo pocket at the front gapes when you sit. Would give this dress five stars if the material had a little stretch to it and there was no front pocket. On the plus side it looks very sliming on and the patern is stunning ( bought the brown colour), being machine washable it is a practical everyday summer dress that I am really looking forward to wearing.
