I eventually bought the dress in the sand herringbone, having delayed thinking it looked too pale on the website. I'm so glad I did, looks really nice. Like the added touch of the orange thread around the button holes. I'm a standard size 12 and dress fits really well. Only downside for the money I thought the dress should have been lined.

I ordered the red in a 10 and sent it back as it was too tight and I wasn't too sure about the colour. I also ordered a 12 in the blue but as it was too big decided to try and exchange for the 10R which was a super fit, except a little tight over the bust. However, as I am very small chested I can get away with a light bra or, if feeling brave, none at all. I am therefore keeping the blue 10R as I think it will really useful for summer lunches/ early drinks in the wine bar!

I first ordered this dress in a size 10 in pink and was not at all impressed as I felt the colour was washed out and the fit was terrible - I felt I was wearing an unflattering sack! I sent it back but decided to try a size 8 as the reviews were so good I felt I was missing something and indeed I was! The size 8 was unbelievably flattering and the blue colourway was much nicer. So my advice is to size down. Only awarded 4 stars as the dress looks as if it will crumple easily - a linen/cotton mix would have been better.

I never have much luck with Boden dresses and nearly always find them too unstructured and unflattering. This was an improvement on others I have tried in terms of a more structured shape. However for me it was a poor fit - too tight across the back and too gapey on the bust : not a good combination! Also the material did have a slightly odd shiny look to it - but overall it looked quite nice & if it had fitted I probably would have kept it.
I imagine it will best fit those who are slim with small shoulders and a big bust... But not for petite pears!

Bought this dress after trying it on at a Boden party. It looks so much better on. Love the tailored fit and fabric - though I have not worn it yet and linen does crease!
I am a standard size 12 and the dress fits without clinging so I am safe if it shrinks a bit in the wash! Mine has brown/beige buttons sewn on with beige thread ( buttons look blue in the picture and someone said hers were sewn on with green thread) This works for me as it will allow me to wear it with brown or navy bag and shoes. May change to antique silver military style buttons and wear it with a blazer of a different look next year! Have not worn the dress yet as it is cold in Scotland but have tried it on and it got a thumbs up from my mother, husband and daughter ( a fashion student) - age range 85 to 21. Love this dress, a complete change from the usual florals and little prints.

I really liked this new style. Fabulous fabric and a really comfortable design. However, I really didn't like the large brown buttons which were sewn on with bright green thread. I felt that they detracted too much from/didn't fit with the classic style of the dress so sent it back.
