Tried this in 10 & 12 as I'm somewhere between. However, they both went back as, although the 10 was a much better size wise (the 12 was vast!), it totally shapeless, the material felt rough and a little sack like, and the colours (pewter)were drab. Shame as I had it looked great in the catalogue

Delighted with the fit and style. Just waiting for some warm weather to wear it. I sometimes find Boden size 12 is too small for me so ordered 12 and 14 and the 12 is perfect.

I have both the lipstick and ink dresses. Great colours. The blue is true blue ink and the lipstick is a pretty, reddish pink. The shape is very flattering, slim through the body with a slight A line shape. I ordered the long version in my size and it sits at my knees (I am 5ft 5.5inches).The neckline is not low cut, but not frumpy, and has pretty contrast detailing. The dress is practical and easy to wear, and would also be suitable for going out to restaurants etc. I love this dress, definitely a go to dress, that can be worn without having to think about it. I shall also be taking them on holiday instead of shorts and t shirts,just as comfortable but more stylish! I'm someone who hasn't worn a dress in many, many years, but I seem to have struck gold and have been converted! I should add that I bought them when they were on special offer which I feel made them excellent value.

I really like this dress - I feel it can be dressed up or down and so, Cumbrian summer allowing, I should get a good deal of wear out of it.
I sized down from my normal dress size of 10 and in the 8 still have plenty of room for manoeuvre. I also chose the long rather than reg length, even though I am only 5', as I found the above knee reach a little awkward looking and the long brings it to the lower part of the knee, which I find much more flattering and also more flexible with regard to use.
All in all a great little dress - my only gripe and reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is that I would have liked a little more or a little less shape at the waist - as it is,with just a very small amount of shaping, it makes one look rather bulky; if it had more, one would have a nice shape, if it had less it would be a straight up and down shift - whereas this is neither one nor the other.

I bought the pewter colourway, which is really unusual. Love the contrast detail round neckline.

Although this dress is lovely, it was a little too big on the top half for me, but that was more to do with me being bottom heavy than anything wrong with the dress itself. Shame, as I loved it. The blue colour is great.

I'm with Lizzie and Cath, there's no waist, and the fit is generally poor.
I also agree with Lizzie's comment about other garments this season being a poor fit. I've sent everything back so far, as its all been a bit frumpy.
My husband found the same thing, clothes fitted well on the shoulders and chest but baggy around the waist. He wondered if it was a strategy to deal with the increase in UK obesity !
