Just unpacked it and I love it! I ordered it in black in the sale (as I didn't like the trim colour contrasts of the other colours) and its just gorgeous - really beautiful quality and short so fun and a bit sexy!

I now have to invent an opportunity to wear it.

This is a beautiful tunic. I made the mistake of sizing up from my usual size 12 and ordered 14. It was too big. Pity as 12 no longer in stock:-(

Firstly, the tunic/dress is beautifully made and finished. Fabric has a lovely handle to it and the beading is very pretty. BUT! It is so tiny. I am a standard size 12, (37, 27, 38) and having read the garment measurements online I ordered the 12 thinking it would be plenty big enough. It was like trying to squeeze me into a sausage skin! You need to size up one full size if this is going to fit but if you manage to get a good fit, lucky you, the dress is gorgeous.

Lovely tunic, I bought it in black to wear at a funeral for a very stylish relative. I wore it with all black accessories and long sleeved cardigan. I agree with other comments about it being tighter on the top rather than the bottom but this suits me as I am a bit top heavy. I sized up ( am normally a 10 or 12 and bought the 12) and it fits perfectly on top. It is more roomy around the hips and looks A line but this is good for balancing out my top half. It is the same fit as the denim and cord tunics last season which I love.

This is a beautiful dress. I ordered sixe 12 and 14 as I had read the previous comments. I normally am a size 12 in Boden dresses. The 12 was too tight on the bust but fitted on the hips. The 14 fitted on the bust but was too big on the hips. I am quite good at dress making so unpicked the side seams and side zip and took the bottom half in to make it fit (yes I liked the design that much). If zips were at the back on dresses it would make it easier to make any alterations - most of us aren't perfect shapes. Also disappointed that other Boden dresses fit perfectly in a 12 but this didn't.

This dress is beautifully simple and retro... very similar in shape to the casual cord/denim dress from the previous season.
The photos of the fabric are very misleading... the fabric is much plainer and less textured and/or shiny than the photos suggest. The green option is deeper than the colour appears on the photos (more emerald than sea green) and the trim looks a darker green, not blue.
The dress is lined so is not at all clingy, but instead feels quite sturdy and substantial for an evening dress. The pockets actually work although using them feels unwise as this might destroy the hang of the dress.
It's an absolute bargain at the sale price!!! I'm usually a standard 14 but I had to size down to a 12 because the 14 looked enormous and frumpy. The 12 is fine and all the colours seem to be sized the same.

Bought this initially in green in a size 10. I'm 5'4", 34D, size 8-10 and this fits well, particularly over the bust and on the shoulders, which I can find tight with boden dresses. It is comfortable, very stylish and the green is a really lovely shade. The beading finishes it off very nicely. I have now bought the other colours and the violet is also a lovely shade. I wouldn't have paid the original price, but think they are good value in the sale. I can see myself wearing these in the summer too. The fact they are washable is also a plus. I've marked down a star purely because of the dreaded side zip. I wish boden would please, please start putting zips in the back of their dresses and tunics. You really do need to be a contortionist to get into these garments and it's nigh on impossible to do so without taking your make up off and messing up your hair in the process. This point has been made before by me and others, but so far to no avail. It really does put me off buying at times.

I ordered this dress in violet in a size 14. I was looking forward to receiving it,but as its expensive i had debated for a while whether or not to buy it. So glad that i did. Its so beautiful, the bead detail is stunning, and the colour is lovely.Will be wearing it to my work party and am looking forward to wearing it. It will also be useful for christmas parties and for going somewhere special. Very nice, thanks boden.
