great under a tunic but as a curvy girl, the waistband was much too big and they slipped down. I'll have to put a tuck in before they can be worn over a tee or sweater. Otherwise a very good fit and they don't bag or wrinkle. As I also have long legs, they were an excellent length.

How I wish I hadn't stumbled upon these in the sale - if I'd seen them earlier, I'd have probably bought all three colours. As it is, I have the caramel, and they look so much smarter than a legging - they look and feel more like a proper jodhpur (in fact, I'm tempted to wear them for riding, because they look like they'd be up to the job). They are incredibly flattering on my size 20-22 frame (had a 20 been available, it would have been a better fit than the generous 22, but they aren't going back because I love them too much) and so, so comfortable. The seaming in the back of the legs seems to lift my bottom, the fabric is firm and holds its shape and even the length sits well on me. Please make these a staple of the Boden range - I need a black pair, at the very least!

I thought that leggings were only for the young till I met these leggings. They make you feel like you're wearing trousers and as other reviewers have remarked, they give you a wonderfully rejuvenated shape.I hope these come back in the future as I didn't notice them until the sale [...]. I thought I was a bit too old to wear leggings BUT these Roma leggings are so much more like trousers! They are rather like the old fashioned 'ski-pants' which came out in the 60s and used to have a strap underneath the instep and were made from crimplene!
I have now had to buy some tunics so they come to mid thigh. They fit so well and are really comfortable I bought two pairs in the sale so I can wear them in the evening with glam tunics OR daytime I will wear them in summer as I have varicose veins and I think they will be light enough, hopefully. I am saving them for warmer weather

These gems give me a shape I haven;t seen for a while! They hold the floppy bits in beautifully. They are a challenge to put on at first - much firmer than a legging.
I'm an apple shaped 14 and i bought a 12 as recommended by previous posters. They did tend to droop at the crutch, but only a little, and not enough that others would notice - i just need to get used to feeling droopy. I wear them with tunics or long cardis.
I don;t think they were worth full price - but the sale price is about right.

The genius that designed these trousers and the buyer that purchased them for Boden both need a pay rise! They have managed to make the half stone I gained at Christmas magically disappear! Worth every penny at sale price, hence I have just ordered a second pair. Am normally a 12 and bought a 12.

I admit I am a little overweight and slightly out of shape right now, and so the size 16/18 compared to my height 5'3" ratio is not a useful one for buying clothes for a perfect fit, however, when I tried these on I couldn't help feeling that I was putting on a wetsuit for the feel of the material and the method involved. Also, I couldn't get the word "slacks" out of my head. This did nothing for me to think I was buying into a lovely fashionable but comfortable pair of leggings... and felt more like I was trying to put on some rather unattractive control-wear.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the idea of a thicker material legging, warmer in cooler temps and potentially more durable, and took note of other reviews by purchasing at a sale price and sizing down, but there was excess material concertina-like behind the knee and where as some (slimmer?) reviewers stated that the material held them in in all the right places, I couldn't help but think that the thicker material just widened my short legs further. For that reason the two pairs purchased are on their return. Nice idea, and glad it works for others but for me it felt like I was buying for a wardrobe in 20 years time.

These leggings are really great - I agree with the other reviewers who liken them to jodpurs - they are really slimming and hold one in in all the right places. The rise is just right and having long legs, I find that they come up to the waist really well. I have a size 10 which I would say is pretty true to size, but I would normally be a 12 in any other trouser - especially Bodens cut which I find very skimpy in the leg department, so I was pleased with the 10. Any bigger they might work their way down the crotch - most uncomfortable. I have a black pair and a navy pair and delighted to get them in the sale. Definitely a good buy and a wardrobe staple.
