Wanted a practical, stylish and wearable pair of every day trousers as an alternative to jeans for a wide variety of purposes. These trousers oblige and are very good quality for the sale price.
Although I am a slim hipped size 10 with a boyish figure they still managed to create a muffin top with very little encouragement so would have liked them to be slightly higher on the waist.

I love these trousers. I decided I'd take a break from black trousers for work and try purple... And despite being called "fig", they are very purple. They fit well and make me look taller and slimmer; I thought this might be a case of self delusion at first, being I'm a cylindrical size 16, but every time I wear them people ask if I've lost weight or say things like "oooh, skinny", which needless to say is torture. I look forward to wearing them and find they go well with a lot of things already in my wardrobe. The regular length are good for me, at just about 5'4", with a pair of kitten heels.... I do strut around a bit while wearing them.

Boden have historically been my trouser saviour and a 12L was virtually bespoke fit wise.
Alas for a couple of years now this reliability has been wobbling and in some cases lost completely.
These trousers are a nice fabric ( I got the beige) but not especially warm and a bit light coloured in a practical sense for Autumn/Winter days. but were on me very snug around the bottom. The waist was fine, just the bottom was far too fitted. In contrast the legs are in my view too wide to be termed 'boot cut'. from the knee down the cut was very loose, almost 'flare'like.
Tight round the bottom but flared below the knee is not a look I am fond of so sorry, but it's a no from me.

Having consistently been a size 10 in Boden trousers for many years I was disappointed with the fit of these. So have sized up to a 12. Think they will be really useful for work and smarter weekend wear - I got the navy and it is a really rich colout. Also, plea to Johnnie please can we have a short length option in trousers - I always have to shorten them!

These are a huge improvement on last years pants when several styles were too tight on the thigh. These are a great fit and have just the right amount of stretch to be super comfortable. They look really good too and could be dressed up or down. I have the black and recognising that I will get a lot of wear out of them, I have just ordered the fig. They lose one star for me as they sit towards the hip rather than on the waist. I prefer a pant to sit on the waist.

I'm surprised another reviewer referred to these as "jeans" they are not jeans, the fabric is too lightweight. Fabric is cotton, not canvas, but a medium-weight probably okay in Autumn but definately not winter trousers. I was looking to replace work trousers (last year's bootcut jeans) and hoped these would be a good substitute, so maybe my expectations were too high. I did try on but the lower waistband was not for me. I also had a problem with the pockets which seems to stick out from hips.I have returned.[...]

I ordered the brown and the purple - the purple are very purple so will be going back - the brown are perfect. As always, although I'm only 5ft6 I needed the long ones. They'll be really useful and seem to look good with most things.

I'm sure these will become favourites. I got the 10R (10 is my usual size and they fit well). They feel comfortable and look really good.

The material is fairly soft with a close weave, which I like. (A couple of years ago when I last bought Boden jeans, the material was stiffer and the weave coarser and although I kept them, they always looked a bit silly in flat shoes because the material stuck stiffly out at the sides instead of draping over my foot!) Being just under 5'4" I'm only just a Regular in height but I tried the Petite and they were too short.

Close to perfect, especially if you get them with a discount!
