MUST AGREE WITH WHAT SUSSEX GIRL HAD TO SAY ABOUT THIS TOP.I BOUGHT THE LILAC TO WEAR WITH A DEEPER COLOURED LILAC CROPPED PANTS TO AN BBQ PARTY,SO THEIR WASN'T TIME FOR ME TO RETURN IT & TRY A SMALLER SIZE.THE ARM HOLES WERE VERY BIG SHOWING TOO MUCH OF MY BRA,IT WAS TOO LOOSE ACROSS THE CHEST,BUT THE LENGTH WAS GOOD.AFTER NIPPING & TUCKING,IT FITTED OK.THE MORAL OF THIS STORY IS TO ORDER IN PLENTY OF TIME,SHOULD YOU HAVE TO RETURN ANY GARMENTS.WHY BOTHER WITH A ZIP?,I HADN'T REALIZED THERE WAS ONE UNTIL I READ THE REVIEWS,ALL THIS TIME & I WAS JUST SLIPPING IT OVER MY HEAD!!!!

I have been looking for a top that will work well for work and at home. This ticks all the right boxes. It is very comfortable with a simple but flattering style and the workmanship is excellent. I would have given it 5 stars but I think the additional side zip is unnecessary. I have brought two in white and navy and wear them all the time.

Yes, this is a very pretty green - and pretty design around the neckline. Agree that the zip is nonsensical and the material is bulky, so it's kind of baggy and shapeless, but I will keep it because of the lovely colour and it's fine with shorts, casual shorter skirt or indeed jeans or crops, so I think it will be fine. The material is good quality and I am hoping that a wash will soften it and cause it to hang better..... again, not bad for the sale price but way off the mark for the original price.

There is nothing like a clean crisp white linen top for summer but unfortunatly this is nothing like it. The half linen half cotton make it look cheap
The style & detail are great but you need quality materials _ I expected more from Boden!!!!
Also remember to size down with all Boden tops.

read the reviews but still thought i would give it a go. ordered in the green and it is a beautiful shade of green but that is a far as it went. the material is thick linen so very stiff. ordered in my usual 14 and it looks bulky, not flattering at all. it propably would sit better if made from cotton. it looks good and much softer looking on the model, but not in reality. was disappointed but kept it as i love the colour, but i'm afraid i wont be wearing it in public, for the garden only. only keeping it cos i didnt pay full price for it.

This has a smock shape, too loose in the body. Why the need for a zip? This implies a more fitted garment which I suspect had a lot of us fooled.
Very disappointing as I find the embroidery very pretty and the lilac colour is delicious. Sadly, this will go back

Ordered green Size 12. Thrilled with the quality, detail & colour of this top. Adore the green. Yes it's slightly bulky - but nothing serious. It's classy and will get a lot of wear. Surprised at the lack of good reviews.

Really funny shape. It fits on bust, billows out over the tummy and is tight on the hips. Not A line as shown, more hourglass shape! Shame as I like the fabric, navy colour and notch neck design. I really tried to like this top as I have had to send back almost everything I have ordered from the Boden catalogue this Summer.

Boden you are losing the plot! I have been a loyal customer for 15 years or so but I am really losing faith. What I loved about Boden in the good old days was the sense that you were filling a gap in the market of classic, unfussy but stylish and affordable women's clothes. A simple linen shift, for example in a lovely periwinkle blue colour, great little cotton summer cardigans, good quality t shirts.

Now everything is patterned, garishly coloured, frilly, fussy and not always that good quality or well designed. I am so sad, as i relied on Boden and I am now driven back into the high street for my everyday wardrobe needs.

Please come back to your heartland! Or am I a consumer market that you have turned your back on in favour of women who actively want to wear loud, brightly patterned, fussy clothes? It's a view I have been coming to increasingly over the last few seasons.

Rant over! And sadly, top going back.

Just received this top after a very long wait. I think the colour was described as grey-navy but it is navy. I personally don't mind the fabric change to 50% cotton 50% linen as I think it will iron better. All in all a very nice top but do size down. I am normally a 14 and it is going to have to go back for a smaller size.

Thought this top looked lovely on model but in reality is a very ordinary, cheap looking top! Bought it in white in my normal size 10 which was massive. If you do want to try it I advise you size down. It was a very dull white and did nothing for me at all! Very overpriced!!!
