I am so pleased with this skirt. It feels very comfortable yet I feel glamorous and trendy. I am usually a size 16 but having read the reviews I opted for a size 14 which feels perfect. A lovely skirt for a summer's evening.

I just don't understand all the negative reviews on this skirt. They fit perfectly and are certainly not too big. I loved them so much I have now bought two, in black and purple. They will be great for the summer with a t shirt and flip flops. Look extremely flattering on the bottom and hangs beautifully. I am a size 12 to 14 and 5'9 tall, bought 14L and they both fit perfectly.

I bought the purple in the sale in 20R I am 5'7" and this is certainly long enough, the long would be far too long. This is going to be fine for casual wear in hot weather, not its not a heavy fabric and is perhaps a slightly odd shape but buy it smaller and wear up on your waist if you like. A good cover up.

I took the recommendations of other reviewers and ordered a size down (12) instead of my usual 14 and I'm so glad I did. This skirt is PERFECT for a hot and sticky summer in Sydney. It looks so cute with my silver flip flops and a tank with a gorgeous necklace. Yes, it is a little sheer, but the nude knickers fix that! I am a tall lady (5ft 11), and it's tricky to get a beautiful, flowing, long skirt. This one really fits the bill. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Having read the reviews first, I ordered a size down. I should have ordered two sizes down as this really is huge, even allowing for the fact that it's designed to sit on the hips and so the waistband is naturally wider.
I can't really comment on the length, as there was only the longer length in my size and so needed taking up anyway, but I think the regular would have been fine for me at 5'5".
I love the design, with the fold over waistband, and the purple design is lovely - the colours are slightly muted, not brash.
The material is unfortunately see-through - you can actually see how much in the photo of the model standing against the wall, and it really needs an underskirt. A pity, as the lightness of the fabric lends itself to the design, but I'm sure a light but less transparent material could have been found.
Despite the cons though, I really do like this skirt and I'd love to see it in a thicker jersey fabric.

Really couldn't decide on this one. Ordered it in black size 8R. I'm only 5ft 1 and normally a 10, but reading the reviews, sized down. It was a great fit, but I was disappointed in the material - very thin and see through - and woul have to wear an underskirt. Something I don't fancy on holidays. In the end it went back, which was a shame cos it could have been a great staple.

had to write this review, albeit a little late, think some of us owe johnnie an apology. this is a lovely skirt & had i read the details more carefully 1st time around i wouldn't have needed to re-order. product column & details clearly state 'fold down waistband' & 'sits below natural waist' - therefore, worn as described it's not really too big or too long. lovely quality fabric & very pretty pattern - got the purple print.

I bought and returned the pewter in my normal Boden size. It was too long, too large and put me in the unusual position of finding a Boden garment too big for me. I am tall (love maxi skirts) and often find Boden tops, dresses and skirts too skimpy for my comfort or style of dressing which is stylish but also modest. I went down two sizes and bought the black in the sale - perfect fit and lovely fabric. There clearly has been something 'accidental' in all this but I for one would be happy if it happened again.
