I was disappointed with this sleeveless cardigan. It came to the top of my hips. Overall the cut felt a bit too old fashioned and frumpy to me. I opted for the grey, and felt that it was too pale. I would have preferred a darker grey. It was very soft and cuddly though. I'm afraid it is on it's way back to Boden this time.

I was tempted by this when I first saw it on the website but decided against it as it is dry clean only & also rather expensive. When a discount appeared I decided to try it & I'm now wearing it as it is ideal as a light extra layer. Cabling & pattern are gorgeous, buttons not too bad but I will probably change for wood ones and my usual knitwear size fits well. Rating is not 5 star because of the dry clean factor.

the fit is perfect, very flattering and to be honest the photo on the website doesn't do this justice. It nips in at the waist and sits just above the hips. Is soft and cosy. Not too bulky to wear under a coat or jacket. I bought the ecru - wish it was more cream but it passes with everything.

Attractive looking gilet - I bought the Ecru colour -but sizing too small. I am normally a size 12 but am sending this back for the next size up. I get increasingly frustrated with Boden garments as they don't appear to have a consistent sizing policy and my size can vary between a 10 and a 14 which a is annoying and expensive in returns, or means that I decide not to buy!

I've only had this item one day, and already I'm dithering over whether to go for another colour too (I bought the grey, which is very classy and will look great with a white top underneath). I am a gilet addict, and am always looking for an unusual twist on a gilet, which this one is. The fabric, cut and style are just perfect. I bought the size 10 after reading previous reviews about the tight sizing. For anyone else worrying about the sizing, I am a 5 ft 7 pear with a tiny chest (32B) and slim waist, so can generally fit in most size 8 Boden tops. This size 10 gilet fitted perfectly, even buttoned up. The only con I can think of is that it's so nice, you'll have to go back for another one. Ecru or chocolate? Can't decide, help!

As soon as this was out of the bag and I felt how soft the wool was (compared to many other 100% wool items recently from Boden which were very itchy and rough), and this gilet was just so warm and I have worn it so much already and its not even Autumn. I have worn over a tunic with leggings and also a tshirt. Great warmth/quite chunky and with the cable it does enhance the bust area but I can live with that - as this is just such a nice piece of knitwear.

HAve jsut received this and am very pleased with it, I bought a size 10 (Iam an 8-10) adn this fits perfectly, big enough to get a thick layer underneath and neat enough to go under a coat. The Peat colour is very dark brown was slightly hesitant between that and the navy (which I love) but in Winter I wear much more brown. My only worry is that it may pill dreadfully but it is worth trying.

I bought the navy version of this to pair with the knitted breton tunic as shown in the catalogue, but I have worn it with so many other combinations in the week since I received it - yes, I think I've worn it every day! I bought a 16 which is my usual and it fits fine. Having worn it so much it is starting to bobble a little already but nothing that a careful session with a bobble buster won't sort. We've had such a cold week in Scotland, I've been layering this gilet with other cardigans jumpers and dresses (it went well with the Boden stitch detail cord dress in purple)and it's providing that extra warmth that I need without going for a thicker jumper.
