I was in two minds about this given the Pauline Fowler reviews! However I am really pleased. It is actually flattering and slimming. Probably because it is thin and has fluid lines. I hover between a 12 and a 14 and went for the 12 which is plenty big enough. Even though I am short (5ft 2) it doesn't make me look dumpy. Looks very nice with a dress (I have the breezy beach dress from last summer) and also with jeans and a v neck tee shirt. At the sale price, I think it is well worth it. The blue is easy to mix and match.

I bought the taupe in the sale - what an absolute bargain. I love merino wool, as I always prefer a natural fabric over a man made one (except for sport clothes). Merino wool offers excellent breathable warmth for its weight, giving a lovely lightweight cardigan that drapes beautifully. The taupe is a great colour as a base neutral. I also thought it was very flattering for winter pale skin.
I chose the smaller size, as I expected the cardigan to "give" a little, which it did when worn to work.
This is a very elegant style. As with all long cardigans, you need to take care with your whole outfit or they can look frumpy. Dressed up through, and it looks very stylish and understated chic (in my view anyway!). I have worn mine with smart black work trousers, and also think it will go well with fitted above knee dresses as well as slim jeans & a patterned top.

I'm just hoping that the other colours sell out quickly, because my credit card is twitching at the temptation of the plum colour.

Is this cardigan frumpy? i can't quite decide and I notice the other reviews are divided on this. At the bargain sale price I ordered raisin, purple and the beige colour one. I love the colours raisin (dark purply brown) and the purple (which is super vibrant on a miserable day). It definately can't be worn with all the buttons done up as it looks very odd and definately frumpy! (a shame for me as I like to do cardigans up to cover my mummy tummy) but can just about be worn with just 2 or 3 buttons in the middle done up. It looks great not done up at all but that leaves me feeling too exposed. The beigey one looks the most mumsy probably because its a bit wishy washy in colour and I can see that the blue one might too. Will prob keep the purple, just becasue the colour is different but will send the others back. I think its true to size and a great lenght though.

This is a perfectly adequate cardigan, but nothing special. It is good value in the sale, but I would never have paid full price for it. Just a basic fine wool caardigan.

The cardigan arrived today, thank you Santa. I just love it. I dawdled about buying the blue and it was snatched out of my shopping basket!! Such a shame as I would have liked another one too at such a good sale price.

Ordered this on a whim as I tend to order eye-catching pieces and then have nothing to wear them with. Turns out this was a great purchase. The pewter is understated and adds a touch of elegance to whatever you're wearing, eg: jeans, T and boots. It also goes with anything. Size-wise, I am between a 10 and a 12 and got a 12 which is spacious and has a boyfriend cardi feel to it, which I like. Also it does up! Great!

lovely colour i chose the blue, parcel arrived whilst friend was round so tried on to show her, and look on face said everything and the word frumpy was mentioned a few times!!
