Will have it altered though, as it's too long for a 10R. Well below the knee, looks a little like granny:) But, at sale price with the shorted version, I am sure, it will look great.

I would try this as it is a very pretty dress but it didn't work for me. I'm a size 14 pear shape and 5 7. I just looked dumpy in it. It probably needed to be more fitted under the bust for me - as it was it just hung and not in a flattering way. Well made and a nice print and a good length in the L - it covered my knees unlike the charlotte dress which I also tried. My search for a perfect dress goes on.

I managed to get the ruby retro in the sale - and it is so much nicer than I expected. It looks really good on my "shapely" figure. The material is of a good quality and the dress is very well made and finished off. I think this will be versatile enough to dress up for a posh "do" or will equally be good for an evening out - or even to work

Would be good for a pear shape. Not a really dressy dress. Good buy in the sale if it fits! Could be worn in spring or on a hot day as the velvet trim is discreet, and the fabric is fine and lightweight. Totally the wrong shape for me, large floppy sleeves and huge on the hips.

I am a real pear shape - 8/10 on top, 12/14 on bottom half. Boden dresses in a 10 are too tight around the thighs (this one is no exception), a 12 would be too big on top. My cross to bear I guess! This dress is lovely to the touch and the red one is a gorgeous print, but sadly having to return it because it is too tight around the thigh/bottom area.

Selected dress in Ruby Retro Bloom for a Christmas party. Very pleased with fit, fabric and colour - very well made. True to size and regular length sits on knee (I'm 5'6"). Did not hold creases after sitting and bending so will take it on holiday with me as well. Didn't give it 5 stars due to price and nothing is perfect!

Bought to wear next week at my first Gay Wedding! Very slimming, lovely fabric and lining and a great length for us over 40's who don't want to look like our Mother's just yet. Matches perfectly a beautiful purple Boden jacket I bought several seasons ago. Wont date as it looks like a 50's retro print and makes me feel young and slim again as I used to wear original retro dresses just like this in the 80's.
