This dress looked good on and feels very comfortable. It was a bargain in the sale and the fudge is a lovely restrained colour which I will enjoy wearing on cooler days in summer as well as spring and autumn.

A very flattering dress especially if you want to hide a little middle-aged padding around the tummy. The material is lovely and being lined hangs well. As a 10/12, the 10 in this style was a perfect fit and at 5'4" the regular length fell to just below the knee. Also excellent value at the sale price. The black version is a classic and I can see this being a staple in my wardrobe for dressier occasions for many years.

Now this dress has put me in a quandary: it's versatile, dress it up, dress it down, mine is black so a useful addition to a 'capsule' wardrobe which I'm desperately trying to achieve due to overloaded wardrobe space. It's nicely cut (although, as usual with Boden, it's a tad revealing) and shaped with the tummy being skimmed rather than hugged or (as in the truly terrible, not-so 'perfect jersey dress') being so generous as to give the wearer a heavily-pregnant appearance. It does seem to conceal my lumpy bits and, being short-waisted, I was pleasantly surprised to find the waistband where it needs to be. It might not suit the longer-waisted individual. The length is perfect (I'm 5'5"), resting just on my knees and looking great with heels and flats alike (any longer and flats would make it look frumpy).
So why the dilemma? Well, as so many other reviewers have said, the material (whilst lovely and silky) is really crumpled even though it's been out of the wrapping for several days, on a (padded) hanger in a warm room; I'm a little concerned that it may snag if caught on jewellery. So it may be versatile and nicely-cut but it won't travel well and I'm not sure about its durability....I'll decide tomorrow.

In short a beautiful dress - well cut, lovely material and hangs well. Excellent value for money - felt great wearing it to work although in truth it is probably a bit too nice for the office! Another Boden hit. Stuck between sizes so thought I'd play it safe with a 16 - good call - fits perfectly.

First of all , this is the most versatile dress ever - black - can be worn for every occasion from play to cocktail, all you need is a change of scenery & accessories.
The material feels great and silky - which it is and not synthetic as someone else has mentioned .
As I am tall I was worried that the size 6 would be to short for me as there is no long option in this size. I am tall 1,74cm, size 6 - 8 ( 32 - 25 -32), high waist,narrow hips, long legs.
Took the risk and am quite pleased with the fit. fits perfect everywhere - apart from the arms which seem a bit loose for the style hence the 4 points. The size 8 would have been to low cut and to wide at the hips.
Lengthwise it sits just ever so slightly above my knee - properly because I have a short upper body -and looks god on me.
But still, a little bit longer would have been nice. PLEASE BODEN - DO CONSIDER A SIZE 6 LONG. THERE ARE PLENTY OF US AROUND. : )
All together a wonderful dress and an absolute bargain in the sale, get it while you can !

so disappointed in this dress. lovely colour (red) but material feels cheap (its so not) and the design is untidy, especially the seam on the back, awful....
was hoping to wear this to winter wedding and on new years eve, but it will be returned, even if i did get it in the sale. still not worth the money.

Bought in the taupe and the colour is warmer than on the photos which is a bonus. Fits beautifully but at the moment looks like a rag! Arrived folded in a small bag whilst other dresses were on hangers. I'll have to get it steamed as creases still there despite being hung for a couple of days. Otherwise, lovely dress.
