I bought this dress in the ruby shade on a whim, and it is truly a work of art! Well cut, beautiful fabric, and the belt nips the waist in perfectly for a more curvy silhouette. Whats more, the fabric isn't the perfect thickness, so if you have a little extra fat around the edges like me then it covers it all seamlessly. Get it in the ruby shade if you're the feminine yet spirited type ;)

I received lots of compliments when I wore this dress, it looks very smart. The sand coloured dots co-ordinate well with 'nude' colour shoes. It is a real shame that the zipper is in the side and not the back/up to the neck line - as the dress is one of the most difficult to put on/take off I've ever experienced [...]. Pulling it over your head is very difficult and results in a lot of painful hair pulling (if you have long hair!). It is rather a tight fit too, so when I am sitting at my desk and reach over for a pen I can feel the dress pull very tightly, around the sleeve and upper body. It is perfect for standing around and sitting still in though!

This is a gorgeous pretty dress - definitely smart wear - think Day at the Races, City Break to Paris (chance would be a fine thing!). I found it to be a very snug fit round my ribs, and I nearly had to call the fire brigade to get me out of this dress. It felt true to size elsewhere else, and this surprised me as I am pear shaped with a slim upper body. This dress really made me feel special, but it is sadly going back as I couldn't bear that tight feeling on my rib cage and the next size up is sold out. I also got the Stitch Detail Dress in exactly the same size as this (8L) and it fitted beautifully everywhere, so I would say that this is snug fitting on the ribs by design.

I got this in regular length and it sits nicely just below my knees..I am 5'4.. It has a slightly 1940s look to it which I love...I got it in the red and the dots are very dark blue verging on black...almost like a ladybird,,can dress it up with heels and hat or down with sandals and a cardi..when the British summer arrives....beautifully lined and a great price in the sale...a classic style that will look good for many years to come.The belt can be removed and positioned at required height but looks great where it is designed to be...very slimming.

I am so happy I have to write my first review. I am just under 5'7 and ordered the 8L - I was afraid it might be too long, but it is a perfect length for me! My knees don't show but my calves do, and the dress is so slim that it makes even my rather big calves look great (but not so long as to cut them in half). Also, the length makes the dress look like a genuine 40's dress! The belt is wonderfully placed above the waist line - if it were lower it would accentuate the hips too much. I am really pleased, and hope for more slim dresses of similar length!

I was pleasantly surprised when this arrived, as I ordered it in the sale and was just hoping it would be ok for work. The fabric is really nice quality, and I love the cut- as everyone else says the belt is high, but I think it`s meant to be.
