Like the Perfect Jersey Dress, this looked great - I love the long lines and empire waist - but after washing it went limp, gauzy and wrinkly. Because I got it on sale[...] I didn't bother trying to return it and will run it (dry) through the dryer to see if the wrinkling drops out. I can't face having to iron a jersey dress. (Just fyi, I'm a sort of large 14/small 16, but the 12L fit nicely.)

I bought this dress in the green / winter vine and it is lovely, fits well, flatters and is good quality. The only fault is that it is hard to match up with anything from the winter catalogue and so its stayed in the wardrobe. Perhaps I'll wear it in spring..

This is a great dress, am very pleased I ordered it before it sold out in my size, have just returned a size 12R in the black and purple colour way if anyone wants it!!
re length I ordered the standard length which is just right on me, I am 5 foot eight, the long would have not been long enough to be maxi. I shall be wearing it on Christmas Day as can be dressed up for special occasions or also fine for more casual wear!

I was bought this dress which was lovely. The dress fits beautifully and the neckline is just perfect and very flattering, another classic design from Boden so thank you for that Boden. The down side would be that the length is not really maxi it's more mid calf. overall it is a very elegant dress though.

The first time I wore this dress, I had 7 people at work stop and ask me where it was from.
I'm 5ft 8" and I bought the regular length. It sits just above my ankles, and is great for keeping legs warm. I found this the ideal length for work. If it was full lenght it would be a better evening dress.

My only complaint was the choice of colours. The black and dark purple made me look awful. I really need brightish blue based colours to lift my skin tone. The green was almost there, but I would have liked to see a few paler alternatives.

Still a wonderful dress though.

I love this dress! So rare to find a maxi that covers the arms, make more! Do not hesitate to buy this one, it is totally flattering and has brought so many compliments.

Initially thought it was rather thin when I opened the bag but try it on because the look makes up for it. It is perfect for those wintery dinner parties where you have to rush around feeling rather warm as the hostess but you still have the length, coverage and elegance to open the door and resist the chill.

This dress is expensive, but I'm glad I made the purchase. I'm 32, typically wear a size 12, and bought this in the Purple Winter Vine colourway. I love stylish clothes, but in my current lifestyle I need dresses than double as lounge wear. This fits the bill. The shape is elegant and flattering, but the fabric is soft and drapey, so it would be suitable for a night out or a night in.

The fabric is thin, but not cheap, and I hope it will wear well. It's hard to say, but it doesn't look like it will pill, being a very fine knit. It's not wrinkle resistant, but it's not terribly wrinkly either. I out it on straight out of the bag and it looked fine.

The cut is very flattering, even a little hourglass-ish. I'm always worried with empire-waisted dresses that they'll pouf out and make me look pregnant, but this one doesn't. The bodice crosses over and comes in just under the bust, which is very flattering. I will wear a cami underneath, because it's just a little too low at the neck, but I tend to layer habitually, so it's not a problem.

The colour is lovely; a rich plum with dark chocolatey-aubergine vine pattern. I'm 5'9" and the 12 Tall fits nicely - the length is fine for me as I'll be wearing this with flats, but it probably could be an inch or two longer. If you're average height, I'd consider getting the tall if you want a true maxi length.

All in all, a highly recommended dress!

I ordered this dress in black, reg length as the long was out of stock in my size. The reg was ok but being 5.7 a little too short for a maxi. I tried my luck on the phone and YIPEE a long had been returned. I will be returning the regular in favour of the longer length. I like the fit, skims and looks elegant for an evening out. I am quite busty but in proportion and the deep V is ok on me, I will not wear a cami. Love the sleeves. I think I will get good wear out of this. Must say though it is pricey, I got it with some discount and a voucher which made it more reasonable but had that not been the case, I would have thought twice at paying the original price for a jersey dress.
