I would recommend this to a friend, but it would have to be somebody with the opposite body distribution to mine. I wear size 8 tops and 10 bottoms, but this is the first time a Boden dress in size 8 does not fit AT ALL. The top looks fantastic, but I could barely pull the skirt part down, and I'm pretty sure if I sat down it would rip in two. A size 10 would be too big on top, and I am not even sure if it would fit on the bottom, as this one feels like I could use at least 2 more sizes in the skirt part.... A shame really, as it is a very lovely and classy dress, it would be fantastic for a pre-Christmas dinner party. If you are gifted in the chest area and have a small behind, I'd say go for it!!

The colour red is glorious. And it's a lovely lightweight wool. However, just like the previous reviewer, I found that the fit was OK on top, but from the waist down extremely tight - nothing like the garment measurements provided. I'd estimate closer to a size 8. What a shame - lovely otherwise. But I wish Boden would check these details before dispatching them.

I must have had a rogue dress. size 8 boden usually great but errs on tightish up top. This (green) dress must have been a 12/14 up top and 8 below. I looked ridiculous! Shame as material felt great.

The material is lightweight, the design is very flattering, the small details (ie the details on the end of the sleeves and neckline) make the dress look very special. I bought the navy which is really fantastic. I love this dress. I am buying other colours too!

I really liked the look of this dress and on the model it looked fresh and funky - a great work staple. On delivery it was nicely made and good quality. I ordered both navy and red and both are true to colour. The fit was good across my broad shoulders, scallops sat flat against arms and chest, and skirted ended on the knee. Sadly,it was slightly too big all over else where (I am a standard size 12 with boden but it wasn't so big that I could be bothered to order a smaller size) and it made me look very drab and a bit middle aged...is it the dress, the sizing or just me? I have a boyish figure and perhaps the dress is more suited to someone curvier who could fill it out a bit.

Bought this in the fern (green). I wore it to an evening function which was fairly formal. I am quite large busted and I can never wear Boden dresses because of this. Boden dressed do not normally have enough fabric in the bust area to accommodate and usually the Empire line is too high but this dress fitted a treat. Please can we have more room around the bust line? Thank you for a lovely dress.

So nice I kept this in two colours. Great fit, very lovely fabric, light wool with a sheen. Neck line is imaginative and a bit theatrical. Lovely fit to the back giving a nice shape. I'm quite large at the top and this fits beautifully. Stylish, well fitting, skimming and great colours. More like this.
