Sadly this does not look at all like it does on the photo. The front gapes and the baggy sleeves are far more Geisha than anything else.

Am a huge Boden fan and generally happy with the dresses I order online. The colours of this dress are far brighter than they appear in the photo to the point of being garish. The fit was terrible, gaping at the front and the knot at the side is lumpy and bumpy with way too much material. Horribly unflattering. A friend who is curvier than me also tried it with no success. It went back.

I got this dress in the blue - really like the fabric. As is often the case with patterned items, the pattern doesn't exactly meet up at the seams but it's nearly right.

The fit is true to size. The dress fastens with a button on the waist which fits quite snugly, then wraps and ties in a bow.

The cuffs of the sleeves are slightly wider than I would like.

A bit shorter than I expected (I am 165 and it is quite a bit above the knee) and I am not sure if it is flattering or not...haven't washed it yet...I have the pink and green spotted one, love the deep neckline and love the wrap style, but I am still a little ambivalent about whether it looks good or not, the fabric was actually lighter than I expected, I was expecting a fairly heavy knit wrap.

I always liked the interesting colours of this dress in the fig ripple spot and thought it could suit me, but it didn't look at all flattering in the picture and for the original price it had to look better than that. What a shame, the picture is really deceiving. I totally agree with previous reviewers, the model really does not do this justice. If you're hesitating like me, give it a try! The fig ripple spot is quite bright but not garish, suits my mousy colouring really well and gives me a nice "lift". I'm a 10/12 and orderd the 10 as it's a semi-fitted shape. I ordered long, it's on the knee and I'm 5ft 6 so it's quite short in length. The material is nice but perhaps not so well-suited to a wrap dress as the usual Bode material. There are plenty of pleats in it and you have to make sure you've got the dress pulled on properly or else they stick up funnily (i.e I had a very pointy left bosom until I pulled it down - which means a bit more cleavage on show but not indecent and not to the point it needs as camisole!!) Perhaps when it's ironed this will help too. All in all a great bargain and a nice original addition to my wardrobe.

To be honest, the first thing that attracted me to this dress was the reduction of price in the sale! A huge saving! I was a bit sceptical about it after reading the reviews but decided to give it a try - and I'm glad I did! Admittedly, it took a few minutes for me to warm to it but when I gave it the once over in a mirror I was pleasantly surprised! It's a very flattering dress and really nips your waist in (I ordered it in an 8L). I have a very small bust but it sits fine up top too! The colours are much bolder than they appear online.

I bought this because it looked unusual and it was a real bargain at the sale. I did not regret it. It is a great-fitting dress. Unlike many Boden dresses which are (well, let's admit it) fairly similar when it comes to style and fabric (empire waist, swishy viscose/tencell) this is a very different dress. The fabric is great and the lining makes this dress feel luxurious and quite substantive without being bulky. It is very flattering on the waist and the length it perfect (I bought 10L). It does not look that great on the model, I have to say, I agree with another reviewer who said that she may be too thin for this dress. Apart from the prints which are admittedly quite busy, I can not possible see why it got so many negative reviews. I myself would love to see some version of it next year -- albeit in solid, muted colours.

I personally found this dress to be very flattering - the gathering around the waist actually helped disguise my rather large post Christmas tummy! It is reminiscent of a style favoured by much more expensive designer versions.
I had already bought the bright red version in the preview sale and then couldn't believe the value of the blue one in the current sale. The colours are much nicer in real life and am currently wondering wether to buy the the reddy orange version - but three in the same style might be overkill!
