I haven't worn this yet because I don't go out that much! So why did I buy the dress? Because last winter I searched everywhere for a cream dress I could go out in but couldn't find the perfect one I could afford (although I did buy one in a high street store, which looked nice on but wasn't special). So when this came up in the sale I decided to buy it even if I don't get to wear it until next Christmas. i wear so much black in the winter and cream is such a change and it makes a statement - also you can wear it with black tights and jacket or smart cardigan, which you can't really do with cream in the summer.

The dress is well made, fits beautifully and feels/looks expensive - I wouldn't have bought it at full price though unless I was going to a wedding or similar.

unfortunately this felt very baggy all over except the bust where it fit well. waist and hips just too loose, so as it's also a high neck, made it feel a little frumpy.

Its a long time since I felt good about myself, trying anything on - skinny, but three baby flabby! Bought this dress in the sale 'just in case' after having a nightmare at Christmas looking for something dressy to wear to an adults / kids christmas party. Without exception, everything on the high street was flimsy, tarty or both.

This dress is well, if very generously cut for a pear shape - I am a classic size 10 at the moment, but the 8 is perfect. Shift dresses are so classic, but usually end up being really expensive for me as I often have to size up and have the top altered, no problems with this.

As well as a flattering cut, the lined dress is made from a beautiful, heavy fabric that hangs wonderfully, skimming the bumps not drawing attention to them. If I do put on a few pounds before wearing it, I am certain that this dress will be able to handle the Spanx without revealing the tell tale knicker line half way down the thighs!

It would have been nice for beading to continue to the back of the dress (I have short hair) though I guess this was cost prohibitive. In the sale, this dress is a steal, full price I'm not sure I would have bought it in the first place as I don't go 'out, out' all that often, though if I had tried it on, I doubt I would have sent it back.

My only regret is that I don't have the colouring to carry off the cream version, which I luuuuuurve!

Liked the simple design of this dress, and thought would give it a try as in the sale. Im normally 12/14 so tried the 12, which to my disapointment was prefect on the top half but big on the bottom. I am not a curvey lady so think this would suit somebody with a bigger behind. So this was returned sadly as didnt suit my figure. A great little number though for the price!

Resisted buying this for ages but finally gave in. I'm so glad I did as this dress is probably the most beautiful items of clothing I have bought from Boden, and there have been many. I'm 5'4", 34D and a size 8-10. I bought a size 10 in the black and it is perfect. One of the things that had put me off from the description is the dreaded side zip, which makes it so awkward to get things on and off. However, this dress also has a small opening with a loop and button fastening at the back of the neck, which helps making it a bit easier.

This is an absolute bargain at sale price and will be great for evenings and special occasions in particular, but could really be worn any time you just want to feel a little fabulous. My colouring wouldn't really suit the cream colour but if yours would I would urge you to buy as you won't be disappointed.

i bought this dress in black and it's really comfortable with an expensive feel to it.I wore it to a wedding with the ribbonned coat and would highly recommend it. i'm actually pondering on buying the other colour

I ordered this dress in both colours, I have blonde hair so felt the cream was not for me, but the black was Fab. It is short, but with thick black tights and black high heels this dress looks really stylish, modern and sexy. I will be wearing it to my next black tie event.

I bought this in the black, I am a size 8. It is a perfect fit, the material is gorgeous and you can feel the quality. I bought it in the sale but would pay full price now that I have seen the product. Love love love it, thanks Johnny

Great looking practical little dress with beautiful beading on the neckline.Looks good with last years twinkle coat.
