Was unsure about the sizing for this dress after reading the other reviews but ordered in my usual size 12. Fit is great, it could be closer around the waist and hip but that may spoil the fall of the silk skirt. I'm 5' 8" and the skirt is about 3" above the knee, it would be great if there were the L available in this style. However, I love the quality of the limited edition dresses this season, don't think I would pay full price though. The dress is so versatile looks great on its own with heels for a night out, but looks just a good with boots and a cardi for dressing it down. Another stunning, versatile limited edition dress. Bought this to try with another sale dress (the Mimi dress) and only planned to keep my favourite. However, this dress is stylish and comfortable. Yes it is loose around the waist, but the bands manage to give it sufficient definition. Slightly above my knee (at 5.4) so I will wear with opaques. A great bargain at the sale price - looks very expensive.

This dress is an example of when Boden gets it absolutely right. I have thought last season was disappointing in that the cut and fit of clothes have not quite been up to Boden's usual standard. But this made me change my mind! the quality of the material and stitching is excellent and little details like the trim at the neck and down the bust have been done very lovingly. Great shape for me and the length of the neckline and hemline prevented it from being dowdy. The marriage of the 2 fabrics were also very tasteful, and not too loud. And it has been kept simple without too many furbelows. More in this vein please! This is my dress of the season!

I am a first time shopper at Boden and paid particular attention to other review, and would agree that you definitely need a waist to wear this dress. I have a small waist in comparison to my other proportions (!) and usually have to have everything taken in at the waist, but this dress fits me perfectly. I am generally a 12, and whilst this dress in size 10 is quite 'neat', a 12 would be too big in the waist. Am very pleased with my purchase and think it is amazing value on sale. I would have paid the full price!!

I ordered this in an 8 and a 10 in the sale. The 8 is a lovely close fit but perhaps slightly too tight across the bust by just a fraction- I am a 32C bust. The 10 is roomier although the waist and hips are looser too- I'd like the top of the 10 and the bottom half of the 8 were this poosible. Given that this will be a warm weather dress for me, I think I will end up keeping the 10 for comfort, though the 8 is a tighter and more flattering fit. Good value and lovely fabric- pity is is not washable though might risk a very cool wash.

Very nice and lightweight - but not suitable unless you have hips, which I don't. I purchased this in a size 6, and my waist is about 26" - everything but the waist fit fine. Given I have an up-and-down figure, this consequently really gave me no figure at all. Going back, pity.

Loved the fabric - I ordered the mulberry / lime green combination and it was really attractive, however, it didn't flatter me at all as you need a waist and mine has apparently disappeared. If you are fortunate enough to have a waist, then this is a lovely dress that could be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. I would recommend it because I recognise the problem is my shape rather than the dress.
