bought my usual size and size below to try sizing as prev reviews noted. Normal boden size way to big, size below tight over hips. Both therefore returned. Bit of a shame really.

Have been saving my pennies since I saw this dress in an email. I am quite fair-skinned so the gold isn't my colour, though it looks lovely in the photo. So I ordered the navy and it's just beautiful.
A light shimmer, beautiful embellishments, so well made. The only thing is that I am not sure about the fit. I am still trying to decide if I should keep it, since normally for the price I would need to LOVE it. But every time I try it on, I just love the way it feels and how cute the style is.
It's not unflattering but a bit shapeless in the waist / hips. Though I have had a baby this year, so it hides my tummy and slims me from the back. It is tightest in the bust (though I am a DD so am used to this), and the rest is a bit loose. I would expect a better fit, really, something a bit more fitted but now I am a mother I don't think I mind it not being as form-fitted as I would probably have wanted before.
My decision is that it is a beautiful dress, well made and very unique. Epitomises what I love about Boden. It may not look as good on me as the model, but it's a stunning design and so very lovely.

This is a fab dress. I have bought many things from Boden, but this is the first review I have written, so that shows how impressed I am! Perfect fit for my size 10 5ft6in frame. Nicely fitting around my hips (not too tight as i often find with Boden dresses). The mustard colour is lovely - looks classy with black opaque tights, and a cropped black cardi for night out. Wore it last night and felt like a million dollars and got so many lovely comments. THANK YOU BODEN

I ordered this dress in size 8R in the navy colourway. I am absolutely delighted with it. The cut is quite generous but looks great when tried on. The fabric has a slight sheen to it which makes it suitable for an evening out. The style is classic and will be comfortable to wear.

I loved the look of this dress and despite the comments on size and shape went ahead and bought it. I should have heeded others advice. I am generally a size 10 (on the petite side) and this was big, particularly on the top where it miraculously made me look large, but not in a flattering way. It was way too big round the waist - leaving me looking shapeless, and also roomy round my hips. Given that i have pear tendencies I am not going to size down to an 8 because I think it will be too tight round the hips, and I just don't think this style will suit my shape. If you are more straight up and down, then go for it, the fabric is beautiful (apart from a niggle that the raw edge round the neckline looks unfinished) and the colour is lovely too.

This dress is fabulous. The cut is very flattering- it doesn't cling anywhere and skims any bulges I may have (a few!). I bought the gold and it looks exactly the same colour as the online photograph.
I don't have a well defined waist - I'm a bit straight up and down,- but the dress goes in at the waist just enough to make me look as if I do have a fairly curvy figure.
I have bought it for a wedding, and it's definitely suitable for that. Will also wear it on lots of special occasions thereafter.

This is a beautiful dress and it's very well made. I would describe the colour as antique gold rather than mustard and it has a lovely shimmer to it.
The dress is a good length - not too long, not too short and I think it's unique and different. I've seen nothing like this in the shops and I think it has a slightly vintage feel while still having a modern edge. Also, this is the colour of the season. Love it!
