Althougth I am a size 14 for tops, I ordered this in a size 12 in the damson colour because I have found Boden sizing to be all over the place this season. I have had to downsize on many of their tops. But this cardigan is true to size, the 12 was a little tight, so back it went for a size 14. Sadly the damson is sold out, so I reluctantly opted for the navy, which looked a bit washed out in the pictures.

I am pleased to say that the colour is darker than expected, which I am very happy about! Its a lovely cardigan, looks great smart or casual. Saying that I am happy I purchased it in the sale, I don't think its worth the full price tag!!

I wish it was available in more colours, black and red would have been lovely!!

Bought this on offer with a 30% discount and was really pleased when it arrived but after wearing it ONCE the sleeves started 'balling' - looked as if I had worn it non-stop for 2 weeks never mind 2 hours! [...]! I have bought cheap cardi's in high street stores for £10-£20 and they have worn and washed better! Really really disappointed with quality of this item and don't think it is worth even the sale price.

Managed to get the damson melange, I had to go for size 14 as it was very small in the 12. I had ordered the grey 14 which was larger, so I returned it. I love the colour and style of this coat/jacket. The fringe design is lovely, different and I will get lots of use out of this item. I know the reviews are mixed, but if you like the look of it, I would 'go for it'. Infact I am considering ordering the Ecru, I think this will be really useful for evenings out/special occasions and look really smart.

I really wanted a long cream cardi this season, but sadly this one didn't fit the bill. The colour is just too grey. It basically looks like a pale cardigan that is a bit grubby from going in the wash with something dark.

I also tend to wear long cardigans open, and the fringe on one side, press studs on the other, doesn't look so good like this.

This item is really a cardigan which I think has the description coat in its write up because of its length. However it is a beautiful elegant item which looks lovely with everything from jeans and cords to dresses - one BIG disadvantage is the dry clean label but five stars because it has a collar and many many boden tops are missing them!!! I chose damson which with fair hair looks fab, the ecru did tend to wash me out as i am quite pale, not sure about the comments on sizing I would say quite generous sizing, I am 5ft 4 and the length is also good.

Bought this in the sale and I think it is fantastic. Had previously purchased it at full price and loved it, except the bottom half gaped open, so sadly I returned it. Thought I'd give it another try and so glad I did because this one (same size and colour) is a perfect fit, having more material in the bottom half. Looks lovely over skirts, dresses or with jeans and leggings. The collar smartens it up and the fringe detail is lovely.

I didn't NOT like this sweater, but it was not special enough to keep. I felt the design was a bit boring and mature and not stylish or slimming enough. I would have preferred the colour to be more of a creamy ecru and not the washed out cream-grey it is. I think it was also made for a person of about 5'5" or shorter and not my 5'7 1/2" frame.

After reading the other reviews, I ordered a 12 instead of my usual 10, and this was the right thing to do. It's roomy, but skims rather than clings which is what you want in a long cardi-this is flattering. I could have probably got into the 10 but you don't want knits clinging to every lump and bump, so I'd agree with the advice in other reviews to go up a size. I was really pleased with it, but I only received it yesterday and already one of the large poppers is coming off as the stitching attaching it is fraying. Even at sale price I think that's unacceptable quality. As a whole, it's a good design and I think it'll be a staple, but it is let down by the workmanship.

This is a fabulous cardigan, especially at sale price! I have the navy and the grey both size 10. They are true to size for me and I have worn them over dresses for evenings out and also dressed down with jeans. Either way I feel great in them - SO versatile! To be honest you really couldn't classify them as a coat as the wool is fairly lightweight but as a really smart cardigan they are just perfect! SO pleased!!
