Just received this coat in size 14 Red. As previous reviewers have noted, the red is a GORGEOUS colour - not too brash. I was looking for a new winter coat to spice up my drab (mainly black) wardrobe, and this is a winner. I bought the 14 and it does feel a bit big up top - may be suitable for more curvy types. However, the elegant cut is still very flattering. The risk with this coat is that it might look a bit school-marmish, so I need to find ways to freshen it up.....Suggestions?

This is my first Boden order so I didn't know what to expect.. but I am very pleased with this coat. I had admired it from afar for a little while and then saw it by chance on the street in New York city (worn by a British tourist) I knew I had to go for it! The red is gorgeous, more of a cherry red than my screen shows. Definitely not a 'serious cold' winter coat but that's what parkas are for. And lucky me, it was on sale!
Good for pear shapes too :)

Love this coat. I'm a 14 and it's true to size. Fits perfectly. The rosette detail is beautiful and everything sits in the right place. Lining is stunning. Purple looked a bit cheap. Black looks very smart. Have returned it as its very similar in style to my velvet coat and I've got a black coat but I wS very reluctant to return them. Have ordered blue quilted jacket for a complete change.

This coat was ordered for a formal occasion where I wanted to really chic and smart. The coat is far superior to any that I saw on the High Street in terms of quality - great drape and good quality, soft fabric, and style - timeless, flattering slim shape.
It is not often nowadays that you think that an item of clothing will be used and loved for years to come - this is certainly the case for me with this coat!

Have been looking for a nice coat for a while and settled on this one. Unfortunately although this looks lovely the feel of the coat was not what I wanted - too hard, not the soft, flowing wool fabric I thought it might be. So..... going back I'm afraid. Why do you put Viscose in this - maybe for hardwearing issues - but probably for cost saving but for such an expensive coat I would expect a much more luxurious feel to the fabric.

This coat had a lot going for it interms of shape and fabric. For me it was an ideal winter work coat. On trying it on , I went to button it and the top button fell off. The button itself disintegrated revealing an extremely cheap aluminium inner disc held together with very thin lining fabric. If the coat wasn't so pricey, I would have taken it to the cleaners to replace the buttons. A real let down on quality for me so it's going back to Boden.
