I ordered size 14 in navy. Fits lovely, very happy with velvert trim that gives nice touch to classic trench coat. Overall nice trench, expect the buckle. When buckle is done, it undid itself many times. May be Boden need to look at better sturdier buckle maker. Im happy with the mid season sale price.

Photo is quite misleading - it's actually much darker. The velvet buckle fell off before it was worn and it seems to be quite cheaply made. Will be sending this back.

I really like this coat. I waited quite a while for my size to come back into stock. I'm a 10-12 but opted for the 10. The colour (tan) goes with everything, and I like the fairly straight cut (unlike some of the other reviewers). It is very well made and the fabric is incredibly soft. I will get a lot of wear out of this coat this autumn

I didnt keep this coat because it didnt flatter me. Its quite shapeless and doesnt favour those of us with hips ! I ordered the red one and the colour was lovely and bright. The belt wasnt quite right and I dont feel it was quite worth the full price either.

I have worn this coat now for nearly two weeks , I went for the red and pleased I did . It fits over suits reaaly nicely and cheered me up on blustery walk to work . At first I was a bit dubious about it, teething problems with the sleeve lining , but the more I wore it the better we got on. The cotton lining is not a problem when I wear it over a suit , but when I wore it over a cotton dress there was some clinging that needed sorted out. Have had loads of compliments , even grumpy bloke at work said something nice about the coat .It is roomy enough in my usual size to fit over a suit .

This stylish coat fits me really well and fills a wardrobe gap perfectly. However, I was dismayed to find that it requires refinishing for water resistence after EVERY cleaning. Secondly, the velvet buckle trim fell off the first time I put the coat on. So disappointing.

Another Boden winner! This coat feels so good on, the lining in the sleeves isn't cold and slippery like the feel of some coat linings, and the spotty lining makes me smile. The coat doesn't feel to stiff and bulky to wear in the car, either. I bought the navy, it looks great over all of my Boden dresses, I was too chicken to buy the red in case it looked too orangey in real life, and returns is a hassle from here.

This is a nice enough coat however, it's too straight, not taken in enough at the waist, which makes the upper part look very bulky. It looks better on the pic (might be the model ?) but in really life is quite dull. I don't find the cut particularly interesting, and definitely not original. I also wish Boden could make single breasted macs. I am tired of seeing double breasted everywhere. On the plus side though, the fabric is soft enough which is nice - waterproof cotton is often too stiff - and the velvet piping is also surprisingly soft, so well done for that. As another reviewer has mentioned, the cotton lining is really annoying. It catches the fabric of the garment underneath and make the coat ride up or worse any skirt underneath ride up! I prefer cotton in general but for lining a good old polyester is best. All in all, not the right coat for me so it's going back.

Great stylish design in a lovely soft fabric, I ordered the caramel colour in a 10 although in reality I am a 12, especially around the hips, but took note of previous reviewer and went for the 10, no problem doing up the buttons and find the coat quite generous around the chest so plenty of room for a sweater under when needed. Unlike a lot of trenches on the high street this season which are A- Line this coat is cut relatively straight from the waist down, more flattering on my rather pear shape I find. My only gripe and reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is the cotton lining which although a pretty design has a tendency to stick to clothes underneath, hence not hanging properly without a little tweaking, please take note Boden as I have seen this comment on reviews of other items previously. Think I shall enjoy wearing this coat and feel smart and on trend in it.
