OK so this is not the most practical coat I have ever bought, even in the sale it is expensive and it's not particularly warm. However the material, the design and the cut are so lovely it just doesn't matter. It fits beautifully and is a slimming and flattering cut. The colour is absolutely gorgeous and not too glitzy. It's not as shimmering as in the photo but I am happy about that as it looks and feels expensive and has a lovely vintage feel to it, especially with the stunning velvet waist detail. Looks gorgeous dressed down with jeans and equally stunning with a frock to go out. I am delighted with this coat and can't wait till snot melts so I can wear if again! Perfect spring, autumn or evening coat with lashings of style and a touch of boho chic. I think it's the loveliest thing I have ever bought from Boden.

Beautiful coat. It is not shiny at, but glistens in an understated way. A really lovely coat. I have bought it to wear for a wedding (over a Boden dress naturally) and can hardly wait! I have the size 14 so I can put a jacket underneath if I had to. I have had silver hair since my late teens and this hazelnut coat just enhances my colouring. Fab. I have only given it 4 stars because I haven't worn it yet, so don't know how durable it is. It is a tad too big on the shoulders but I have narrow shoulders! On appearance only, definitely 5 stars.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this is not a winter coat, but more of an autumn/warmer days item. It isn't quite as evening attire as I'd hoped for, certainly not very sparkley but would look lovely for a wedding. The shape is quite A-line and because of this, it really needs to skim the figure. I bought my normal size 12 and if it was a "normal" coat I would have kept it but because of the A-line factor and the purple band, it just didn't look fitted enough and a bit frumpy. I suggest that (stock permitting), you size down with this if you want that elegant look.

This coat is just beautiful. It's not as gold as the picture indicates, much more of a hazelnut colour which is what I was hoping for.
The cut and fit are excellent, I am usually a size 8 but bought the 6 as I think Boden sizes are usually generous & it fits perfectly.
Good quality, stylish looks - what more could ask for?

I bought this in the special 40% off sale and to be honest I still think it was a bit expensive even with a big reduction.

It has very thin material so really only good for going out and special occasions not as a winter coat. However, it is realy lovely and the dark purple waist band makes it look stunning.

It isn't as shiny as I'd hoped but it is very nice so it is a keeper.

This is a really beautiful coat.Not as shimmering as appears on screen but very stylish with the velvet ribbon in mauve and navy an odd sounding combination but it works very well.The coat is light weight not warm enough for very cold weather ,more of an Autumn or Spring coat.It would look lovely for an occasion such as a wedding or going to the theatre but would also work well over jeans.It looks expensive.Unfortunately the colour did not suit me as a blonde but looked really stunning on my copper haired daughter,although she thought it was rather 'boxy'on her but it was a size 10 and she is a size 8 and I think sizing down would have given a better picture.I think would suit somebody dark haired as well.I am 5"2" and it was low knee length on me ,ideal for knee length skirts and dresses but a good length for jeans as well.I loved it so much that I am debating whether to order it again and try with different scarves!
