I bought this to go with the gorgeous bag which is in a similar finish but, oh dear, this is not a match made in heaven! This wallet should have been elegant and stylish but something has gone wrong. It isn't the size which makes it clumsy, it's the styling. I agree that the zip is nasty - rough and coarse. Also, the fastening is inelegant - the brass buckle looks cheap and just doesn't enhance the purse. On a practical level, the coin/purse section is difficult to access and far too small. What a shame - some design tweaks could have turned this into a Boden classic.

a little late to write a review i know but i see they are still in stock & cannot understand why! i have this in the both grey & tan leopard. they are the nicest & most practical purses i've owned. small enough to hold in one hand yet enough room inside for notes, cards, & coins. easy to operate without the presence of an outer zipper (just the inner one to keep your coins safe). i also use this like a little clutch bag as there's enough room for your lippie, a mirror, & a few tissues - perfect.

I absolutely love this purse (I bought the brown animal print) - I was initially put off by some of the comments saying it came undone easily and you could not get a lot inside but I thought I would see for myself. Glad I did! I haven't had any problems whatsoever and this purse fits lots in without popping open. It is on the large side but that's what I was after. I got it on sale price so an absolute bargain - very very happy!

The hide material looked a bit cheap in the flesh (pardon the pun) but excusable. However, this purse in massive, mammoth, gigantic... Which may be a good thing for some but not for me. Whoosh it went back in the post. I was really excited about finally finding a funky leather purse too :-(

Plenty of card holder pockets, fits nicely in your hand and feels lovely, good quality. Ordered the tan animal print, love it goes nicely with velvet animal print coat, just need to get the bag now

It's hard to find attractive navy bags and purses, so I was delighted when Boden designed this purse in navy. Bit disappointed with the zip - it looks cheap, is a dark metal and is rough to the touch. I have noticed that Boden is using these zips a lot this year - with the bags and also the hooded tops. They cheapen the look. Please, Boden, use good quality zips that blend in with your garments and accessories. The rest of the purse is well made.

Great stylish purse. Ample slots for my many cards- initially thought not but they fit snuggly in the slots if inserted horizontally and will not slip out as snug in a good way- thought to begin with they had to go vertically- an easy mistake I think as they look like they will be too narrow!
Have filled it up and the popper is holding well. Maybe it would be even better with an extra zip to make contents extra secure.
Now very tempted by the matching tote.

I ordered this in navy to go with my navy satchel and I am delighted.
There are 8 slots for credit cards and plenty of space for coins with more pockets for reciepts/notes etc.
Fastens easily with a big handful of coins.
Couldn't be happier.
Now to wait for the matching boots to arrive ;)
