The Covert Coat

We've taken this wonderful, traditional coat and given it the tiniest of make-overs. See lining and velvet collar. Otherwise all Yorkshire wool.

I insisted my very smart, very dapper friend bought this coat in navy. It looks great - polished and dashing. Light enough in weight to go over a suit and can certainly hold it's own in the City of London. I love the purple lining of the handkerchief pocket which you can use to mimic a silk hanky. It's not really meant to be an overcoat in the heavy duty sense of the word, more to go over a suit for a man-about-town look.

Ordered this coat believing it to be a winter overcoat. Disappointed when received as fabric no thicker than a woolen suit jacket. Cut of coat also flared our at bottom. Loved the style but not a winter coat. Not for a Scottish winter anyway!
