Bought for my slim 6'2" 17 year old son. I bought 36L. I hoped the informal style would suit a teenage boy. Sleeves were the right length. Body was too long and had a flared looking 'skirt'. Body also seemed too full (wide fit) for a 36". Son disliked the shape immediately. It was definitely odd. The proportions for a 36L seemed out of kilter.

I nearly didnt buy this jacket because the reveiws wernt good,I like the jacket,! could have been a little more generouse with the fabric arround the middle,because ime a bit fat and the jacket is a bit tight,chest and arms are good as is the length,i do like the buttoned cuffs.

I normally like Boden clothing but this was a major disappointment. Unlike my ten-year-old Boden linen jacket, this is oversized (42in feels more like 48 in), unlined and completely shapeless even though it purports to be the same size as my linen one. Worse, I decided to "give it time" rather than sending it back straight away, but I am actually even less happy with it now than I was when I got it. But I'm too honest to send it back now. Ho hum.

Inferior in every respect to the previous Everyday Jacket purchased 2 -3 years ago. This "Made in China" version is poorly cut, not fully lined and hangs like a sack. Very disappointed. If this is typical of Boden's current offerings I for one will be shopping elsewhere.

I've purchased similar relatively unstructured jackets like this before from Boden. Always just about okay for me in size 42 reg however a bit roomy. Not enough to send back etc... Ordinarily I fit a 42 reg or 42 short in suit style jackets. However this time I decided to size down to 40 reg - and it's much better for this casual style. Less floaty, sleeves right, not at all too tight in chest and shoulders. Consider sizing down a full size.

I purchased this jacket in brown with the pinstripe for my husband and it is great, he absolutely loved it, although he does have to size down in the jacket. I also bought the rest of the outfit as shown in the picture, trousers, belt, shirt, shoes, etc., and as an entire look it is fab and will see him through spring, summer and beyond and he can also mix and match it with jeans, etc., and he looks and feels great in it.
