I love these, my daughter has been in them since I bought them 4 weeks ago, I have the dark denim and it goes with everything, they stay in shape and are tough enough to be dragged along the swings at the beach. Perfect for this time a year when you have no idea what to wear, as they are quite thick but also comfortably short, so short sleeve t-shirt and a jumper in the bag in case it gets chilli! I wish the next size was still available!

Ordered these in a size 7 for my daughter who is average build for her age (6). She could just about get them on but they are uncomfortably tight around the waist. They look gorgeous on and fit perfectly in the leg. She really like them but says she is 'so, so disappointed' that they are so tight.
It's a shame as they look really good on and I've never had to size up for her with Boden in the past (unless I've specifically wanted to get two years of wear out of something).

Not enomoured with these. I was after something special and these aren't> They look cheap the colours aren't interesting. No special details other than the heart pocket which I would have liked to have seen embroidered like previous designs. They just need something more. I thought they looked cheap and rejected them before trying them on.

Although I've bought these before and have been happy with them, I read the reviews to help me with sizing. I have a 5 year old (nearly 6) of average build and an 9 year old (very slim and quite petite). Most of the reviews suggested going up at least one size. I therefore ordered a size 7 for my nearly 6 year old. Far too big. Ended up with size 6. Perfect. I ordered a size 8 and a size 9 for my 9 year old. Both were huge. ended up with a size 7. They fit, but could do with being longer. Quite frankly, there is absolutely NO NEED to go up a size in these, and if your child is petite, then GO DOWN one or two sizes!!

I ordered these in 2 sizes - 9y and 10y - for my petite, skinny 10 year old, based on the reviews and worried that I should have ordered 11y.

The 9y was perfect! We didn't even have to adjust the waist and they actually fitted around the legs. One very happy customer.

I just hope there are lots left in the sale so we can order all the colours.

I agree with previous reviewers: you need to size up maybe two years to get a comfortable fit on the waist. My normal-sized 6 year old only just fits into the age 7 and I'm not sure she is going to get her usual two Summers out of a pair of Mini Boden trousers. It seems strange to go to the effort of incorporating an adjustable feature on an undersized waistband.

Otherwise the material is a good weight (not too thick for Summer) and the flowery trim is very pretty.

Ordered size 6 for my 5 year old Granddaughter,she is quite small but not slim.They were very uncomfortable much to tight around the waist and legs.Sadly they will be returned.I would recommend these crops for slim girls only.

Lovely trousers in quality material and a lovely colour (we have the turquoise) but on the small size- I bought the 3-4 for my tall but slim nearly 3 year old and they only just fit. Would have returned them for a bigger size but she refused to take them off and I know they will get used by her younger sister, although very much doubt they will last the summer let alone until she is 4.

After loving the pictures of these trousers, I looked at all the reviews and took the great advice offered by other customers. Not enough though!!! I have a tall, average size age 7 daughter, so I bought age 9 - wow I have no idea who made these trousers or indeed who they were for - but not a normal size child. Will have to send back for an age 10 pair of trousers. First time I have ever had to complain about anything from Boden.

Sized up to a 12 for my tall 9 year old, they looked as if they fitted OK but she complained they were uncomfortable to wear, so they went back.
