I ordered these initially in an age 10 for my tall 8 year old - the length was borderline OK, not much growing room, but the waist was too tight. Ordered the age 11 and the waist is fine but the length too long! The difference in length between 10 & 11yrs seems vast!
Kept them anyway as daughter loves them and they look OK with the bottoms turned up. Pretty pink colour and look good on overall - certainly a skinny fit on my girl.

Bought the blue in age nine for my just turned 9 daughter.They are far too small and will have to be returned.I am quite surprised, as we have only just gone into age 9 clothes for her. This is our first trouser purchase from boden, but i normally find your sizing quite generous.Anyway, have ordered size 10s so here's hoping!

My little girl loved these the moment she put them on. They made her long legs look even longer and she'll look great in these with a funky t-shirt and hi-tops. I loved the colour (Cornflower), it made a change from normal denim but will still be very versatile. I can't comment about the fit because, as she's tall for her age, we sized up. They do look big on the waist but as she has a defined waist anyway we are used to pulling things in - thank goodness for adjustable waists! Thank you Boden, am sure these will be a favourite!

Love the fit. I ordered a 13yrs for my average size 12 year old, perfect fit. The weight of the denim is great for all year round and denim appears good quality. I am disapointed with the colour though, they are not a bright cherry red as shown in the photo but more of a paler coral colour, still nice but not as shown. Would have liked a more accurate photo but overall pleased with the purchase. Good buy at the sale price,

Somewhat puzzled by previous comments suggesting problems with sizing - these are 'slim-fit' jeans and I bought age 7 for my slim 7-year old. Slightly loose on the waist but elastic adjustment will take up the gap, perfect fit on legs - look great on.

I ordered these jeans with high hopes as I've struggled to find jeans that are narrow enough for my daughter and Boden slim fit jeans have always been a great fit. Not these ! Apart from the waist being very large (even with the waist adjustment), the hips are wider than normal too with too much extra fabric across the hips. Even the leg is wider than usual. My daughter is nearly 9, average height and slim and usually true to size with Boden (the age 9 was a perfect length).
I would re-label these jeans as straight fitting and definitely not slim fit. Boden, please go back to providing jeans for slim girls ....!

These are the best girls skinny jeans ever... They are an amazing fit, pretty much bang on, however I sized up for growing room. The colour (cherry) is just yummy, slightly more faded than in the picture & the beige contrast stitching is lovely. Plus, coloured jeans are in this season! The weight of the denim is perfect for all year round. The high price put me off originally, but I am glad I gave them a go, 'cos taking all the above into consideration I would call them good value for money! Please don't alter a thing Boden, they are perfect.

Bought these for my 2 year old daughter but they look a bit ridiculous on her as they are extremely baggy around the bottom and top half of thigh. Almost look like jodphurs. They are also pulled in so tight around the waist that it just looks crumpled. Also, after first wash they got 2 holes in around the waist band and it looks like they are going to start fraying.
