we ordered two sizes to choose from and my quite small 7 year old chose the 9 - 10 size. Appart from the obvious sizing issue, otherwise it is a lovely skirt and quality. We have the khaki version. Highly recommend. Looks lovely with boots and tights. Daughter loves the wide elasticated waist band as she says its really comfy to wear.

I absolutely loved this on the site and what's more important so did my then 3 year old who is very selective about what she will/won't wear. I was so hoping it was as gorgeous when it arrived and it was!! What was better is that my daughter is tall and very thin and the elasticated waist fitted her perfectly - so many gorgeous things have to be returned because they are too short to get the waist to fit or vice versa (right length but too big in the waist!). We love this and it goes perfectly with several of the tops, also looks great at parties or just casual day wear. The only downside the other colour I wanted was out of stock :-( Btw I bought the 4-5 year old for my now 4 year old.

My daughter has a slim waist and often finds skirts uncomfortable as they twist around a lot or dig into her. However I ordered the owl skirt after it was picked out when looking at the catalogue. The elastic waist is great, as a result the skirt is comfortable and fits well. A much loved skirt, picked out to wear to school on non-uniform day. Teamed with cable footless tights and boots it is warm enough. I got a 3-4 for a petite 4 year old.

Our daughter had had her eye on the Blackcurrant Owls version of this skirt for a while so we decided to treat her. She is 7 but very tall for her age yet we tried the 7-8 and it fits perfectly. Yes, it is made out of cotton, therefore not the thickest of materials but I dont see that as a negative at all. Quite the opposite in fact as it makes it more versatile. She can wear it with thick tights or leggings and chunky boots in the winter and on its own or with short leggings and sandals in the summer. She and I are absolutely thrilled with it and may well purchase another in a different colourway. Even our 3 and a half year old son said his sister looked 'beautiful and girly' in it.

Just so gorgeous!! Fits my slimmer than average daughter perfectly, but has plenty of stretch to accomodate growth.

My 8 year old daughter chose this skirt and likes it except the material is very thin for an autumn and winter skirt. We kept it though as with a pair of tights it'll be ok. Looks very nice and is lovely colour that will go with lots of other colours.
