I bought size 13/14 for my tall (149cm)slim 9 year old daughter thinking that it would do for next winter and wanting to buy now as the dress was on sale. However the dress fits now if I roll up the sleeve one turn, which means that when the sleeves fit, the length will be way above the knee. I admit on closer examination the girl in the picture is wearing the dress at that length- but frankly I want the dress longer to get more that one season out of it! Nevertheless I still like the dress- the style is cute, the material thick enough for winter, and my daughter says it is comfortable- her only stipulation about clothes due to a grievous lack of interest. Good value- especially at the sale price.[...]

I bought two different sizes - for my slim, petite 18 month old and 33 month old grandaughters. They loved them so much they insisted on going to bed in them. The only solution is to buy more! I don't know how they will wash or wear yet, but so far, the tops!

Dress arrived today ready for me to wrap up for christmas. Looks lovely quality - sleeves a little long compared to other dresses and boden tops i have measured it up to. Ordered a 7-8 year s for my 6 year old daughter and it'll be fine!

A lovely dress, my daughter adores it. We initially bought the blue one, and just ordered the grey as well. She is a tall and skinny 5 year old and I ordered size 7-8 for her, which fits her very nicely. The arms are slightly long and it only just reaches down to her knees. Nice slim fit on the body.

I have bought all three of these for my daughters but the blue one had shrunk 2" after being washed twice. I am swapping it for a bigger size so when(!?) that shrinks there is still a bit of growth room. They do look lovely on, are very practical and my daughters love them.

My 4 year old daughter totally adores these dresses. I Bought her two dresses, one grey and the other pink with navy spots. She loves them both, super stylish and comfortable!

Bought the grey and the blue and red stripe. They are both a gorgeous colour but the blue one is stunning, especially on. Seem true to size but the chest area seems very snug. As my daughter is quite tall got age 7/8 and should just last the winter. Would have got age 9/10 but would be worried that the sleeves would be too long.

Another perfect dress from Boden, colours did not inspire me but chose blue and lipstick stripe, glad I did as it is beautiful! A easy pop on and go dress, soft and comfortable to play in or party in, i also bought the pk of 2 plain blue tights to make it feel more cosy. I ordered age 4-5 very true to size, sits just below the knee. I love it and I know it will be a favourite, well done Boden.

I originally purchased this dress in grey but the colour just didn't suit my daughter so I swapped it for the pink spotted version. My daughter is 4.5 years old and average build but still has a rounded tummy so I bought size 5-6. The fit is a little generous but still looks great and will hopefully last until next year.
As soon as I opened the parcel my 4-year-old daughter grabbed it delightedly then flatly refused to take it off at the end of the day to go to bed. Remembering my mum's advice to 'pick your battles' I decided to give in gracefully. This gorgeous dress is stylish yet warm, cosy, soft - great for sleeping in or going to parties. Highly recommended.

I'm really pleased with this dress, on the whole. I missed out on this style last year so was determined to get at least one this year. So why has it taken me till October to order one? Basically, I've been dithering over the colours. None of them really grab me. My problem was this: do I go for grey, which would be my choice but which I'd have to bribe my daughter to wear? Or pink, which would be my daughter's choice but which I find kind of brash and slightly tacky? Or the blue striped, which would be a compromise choice, but who wants to compromise when paying [$] for a child's dress?In the end I bought the pink just to see her face light up, and it worked - definitely a success. But how gorgeous would this have been in a plain scarlet or forest green or rich brown with pink polka dots? Please make this again next year with more colour choices - it's the sort of easy, comfy dress that I'd buy in three or four colours if the options were there, and I'm sure others would, too.Sizing and quality: I bought size 5-6 for small, slim six-year-old and the fit is great, just below the knee and loose enough to be comfortable without looking baggy. Quality is good - fabric soft and comfortable.I do like it a lot, overall :)
