I bought aged 13/14 for my very tall slim 9 year old daughter (151cm)and was pleased with it -I should get a couple of years out of it- possibly 3 as the style will work very well as a tunic once it is too short for a dress. My only reservation is that when the sleeves fit (rolling them up 4cm at present) the dress will be way above the knee, and will be relegated to tunic use sooner rather than later.
The colours are a little crazy- emerald green with white and purple striped sleeves.
This would be a flattering style for a plumper child too.

this dress is very comfy and stylish and i love the stripy sleeves. the sizes feel true to size but i would order atleast 1 size up otherwise sleeves would be to short. work well with skinny jeans, tights and leggings. but when you first wear it the sleeves feel tight but after a while they become looser. washes well but do not tumble dry.

Lovely dress, 7-8 is a good fit on my slim 7yr old. Great with tights, leggings and skinny jeans. Soft, comfy fabric. I would have preferred a slightly warmer weight, which is why I've given 4 not 5 stars.

This dress looks gorgeous on but it takes me an age to shoe horn my daughters arms into the arm holes!! They are far to tight with absolutely no give in them at all....which is a shame because it is a dress that always gets comments when she is wearing it.

Unlike some other reviews we really love this dress. Bought in blue and gorgeous colour. Very comfy for my daughter and 3-4 fits my 3 year old. She is only petite and looks so lovely on, perfectly sized. An easy outfit as only have to think about tights or leggings to match. definately recommend infact we're going to get another in the pink!

Decided on the blue for my daughter who's a very petite 10year old.
We both loved the colour, its nice to see her in something other than pink!!!
As all her 9-10 Boden bits from last year still fit but with no more growing room, this year I've ordered everything in 11-12yr.
The sleeves are too long, but no big deal there and to be expected. As she is so slim, the sleeves were not tight on her.
Length wise, it finishes on her knee, so for a taller girl would be much shorter.
It was quite baggy, again I guessed it would be, but it hangs nicely, so it's one to keep and I know she'll be able to wear it next year too.
Ordering her the raspberry colour too.

Fab dress, could be a little slimmer in the body (have a very tall slim 7 year old.) Looks fab on though, comfy and good value for money. Actually fits her long arms. Brilliant to sling on, but look like you've made an effort. Very pleased.

This is a lovely soft dress and fits my tall thin nearly 7 year old perfectly (size 7-8). I would say though if your child is anything other than 'skinny' then the arms would be too tight.

Out of all the clothes that I have bought from mini boden this is the biggest disappointment. Lovely colour but the fit is all wrong as previous reviewers have commented. I bought the 7-8 for my petite 7 year old. It is massive, the body is far too wide and the length drowns her. It resembles a tent! Not impressed and going straight back.

Ordered the bright green and love the colour but it was shapeless in the body with too tight sleeves on my 3yr old (3-4 size, which usually fits fine) so it went back. Shame as would have been a great everyday dress.
