My sons love Boden sailing trousers. However, this time we are disappointed with the colour and fabric quality compared to the image on the website.
On the website the red appears to be deep and rich with an almost velvet finish. What we received was rough, creased and very washed out looking in a mid-red. If the production batches so inconsistent there must be quality control issue.
The age 12 is a good fit on my tall eleven year old.
If it were not for the sale discount and love of the design, these would definitely be going back.

Bought two pairs in blue and red. Out of 7 pairs of trousers I bought this time they were the first true to size .....ish.
My son is slim to medium build who is 7 in October. He is very tall 135cm and age 9 fitted him perfectly now. Have returned the red oned for an age 10 for after Xmas. Yet again with Boden the colour is not the same as website/brochure. the red is very very dark red indeed, still nice though.

Bought these for my small slim 8 year old in age 7 and they fit great. They are the perfect length for him and the pocket detail is really flattering. Would buy them in all colours but he just likes the blue.... Well done johnny

My son is 6 and particularly tall so I bought these trousers in age 10. They fit almost perfectly however the waist seems a little tighter than other boden bottoms in the same size.
The colour is great, as is the material and design, and I am confident that these will be long lasting trousers!

I love these trousers and have bought them every year for my little boy even though they come up huge around the waist. I have been able to tie the drawstring really tight to keep them up but unfortunately I won't be able to keep doing so anymore. He is nearly 3 and so needs to be able to do them up by himself, which he can't as they need to be tied so tightly. They are sadly going back and won't be able to buy again until you please make the elastic better so that they actually stay up that way? Pretty please? I'll be sad without these this winter.
Material is exactly the same as last year and the colour (brown) is as expected. Please sort out the elastic Boden.
