My son loves these trousers. We have had several pairs in the past, as my son loves the idea of being able to zip the bottom of the legs off when he gets too hot in the warm weather or the bottoms get wet when out & about.
My only grumble would be - can you go back to a proper waistband and not the ribbed one as my son dislikes this as he can't get the drawstring to tighten up enough so the trousers stay up. Don't have this problem with adjustable waitbands. Also the lack of a zip makes it diffcult going to the loo, especially when your an older boy! Most trousers for boys over 7yrs have zips, so why not these! My I suggest this for the trousers for the older boys sizes i.e. 7yrs plus.

My six year old son liked the look of these and I liked the idea of the zip-off legs. They have been a great disappointment as after several washes, they have faded terribly and look cheap. The material is not good quality and I had expected a thicker fabric, having bought something similar before. I would have sent them back were it not for the fact that I live overseas and the postage would outweigh the benefit. I'd be suprised if the knees outlive the summer!

I ordered the blue camo when they arrived i tried them on my son ,then unzipped the bottom section and when i tried to zip them back together the zip broke.The sitching was untidy not what you expect from [$] trousers .

I bought these in the Bright Blue Camouflage colourway, my son loves them, although they look brighter in the photos. We got age 4, for my 3.5 year old, he is still in some 2-3 from other shops, I do think these are quite short so measure your child before you buy them, the waist fits perfectly, I put them on him when we got them and now he won't take them off. Result! Thanks Mr B :)

these are "so cool" according to their recipient! seem to be good quality, zips look sturdy and they look great with zips on or off. True to size, plenty of room.

These are fabulous!I came across them quite by accident having had no joy in the girls section of your catalogue and I bought them for my daughter who is a complete Tom-Boy and forever getting clapered up and into scrapes - They are perfect! The quality, fit and style are all top-notch! Love the zipper off bottoms which transform them into long shorts and... you've even colour co-ordinated the zippers so that we know exactly which one zips back on which leg! (Nice touch!) Now Johnnie - Can we have these for the girls please??? In bright purples/pinks/turquoises/greens/oranges!!! A+++

Lovely trousers and material feels hardwearing. However, like other rib waist trousers I have tried this year they slip down on my two year old even with the string tied. I am constantly pulling them up on him which is a bit annoying for the £. Haven't had this problem before.

my son loves these trousers. the zip off legs are a big hit. he is a real stay in your pyjamas boy and now is happy to put these on. i am definitely a boden fan after my first purchase. they feel well made good quality. waist band is really comfy. colour strong and striking. i bought size 6 even though he is 5 and half. fit well with room to grow still.washed once and look good as new

I bought the age 7 in red for my average-sized 6-year old. They're much too big on the waist, but fine with the drawstring and a little too long, but good for him to grow in to. If your child is tall, definitely size up. The colour is lovely (quite a rusty red) and the waistband a real hit. The material does feel thin, but no more so than the last ones we bought, which were worn to death and are only just going at the knees. A staple in his wardrobe.
