The fabric is much thinner this year and I am doubtful whether after a few months of wearing they will be in any fit state to pass on to my other son.(We bought these trousers last year for my eldest son, they were BRILLIANT. Fantastic quality of fabric and those trousers have now been passed on to my younger son). The new trousers still look good and fit well, but they feel cheap...I really hope they'll be able to stand up to the work out they are inevitably going to get from my 4 1/2 year old son!!

These trousers are loved by my son, but sadly have to be returned for a larger size, as the leg length is incredibly short.

Loved these trousers year in year out but why have you changed the quality of the fabric? I am concerned these trousers will not last as long as feel thinner than all the others.

Having read the reviews and studied the leg length I purchased aged 5 for my 3.5 year old. These are fine so I am glad I read the other reviews. Something a bit odd with the length of trousers this year , the mini range age 3-4 is longer leg length that age 3-4 in boys ! Love rib waists for independant boys who cannot manage zips etc. Fabric is not winter weight but good for autumn days and hot nursery schools !

Oh dear! Much thinner than last year. I pay the extra for Boden because they last, I am afraid these won't last/wear well.
Also the colour is very dull, with no splash of bright in them these look as though I could have bought them from Asda for a fiver!!!

Really lovely trousers! Soft fabric with lots of pockets and elasticated waist: all the things that are required!!! My 4 year old loves them! Perfect!

First year we've bought these and love them. They hang really well. Got the slate check, though have to say, they look more khaki than grey to me, with an orange strip in the check. Got 6 yrs for my tall almost 5 yr old. Liked them so much I got the blue check for his twin brother. Every time my husband sees them he says, 'They're awesome, I want a pair.' I said I would put his request to johnnie!

Would've got 5 stars, but agree that the material could be thicker for winter trousers.

Really liked these trousers when I received them and so did my son who is 5 1/2yrs old. I always size up on trousers from Boden because they can be on the small side, so we went for age 7. He is an average slim built boy and unfortunately the waist was large (I pulled the drawstring to help keep them up but they still looked loose). And the leg was just too short on him. So all in all not a great shape for my son and they had to go back.

i love how these look on my son, got age 5 for my tall 3 1/2 yr old, they are a little long but i think will last a couple of autumns like that, my only complaint is that yes the fabric is rather thin, and parents of lively boys may find that they begin to show signs of wear a little too soon

Love these trousers! Ideal for my son who is 4 and still not very good with buttons and zips! Very stylish and comfortable...he loves them, so I'm happy! Plus he loves all the pockets!
