Chosen by my 8 year old as one of the few applique designs he feels are not too young for him now... we ordered 9-10 for a petite 8.5 year old to last, and although volumous it looks ok to wear a little on the large size this year. We got the khaki/headphones which is "cool" and age appropriate. Not worn or washed as yet so cannot comment on wearability etc.

We loved this design, and the size is good. But after its first wash the Applique design started to fray and thread. Had to cut of the loose threads,which is a pain after washing !! Its as if it wasnt finished properly at the factory?

My 7-year old has loved previous applique t-shirts from Boden, but this one had an inner stitching that irritated his stomach. I tried washing it to see if it would soften up a bit, but no improvement--in fact, the threads on the design started poking out, making for a shabby look. (Not at all the cool "rugged" intention!) A shame, because the design is very fun... We will be sending it back.

Got this in 7-8 for my tall 6 year old. Sizing seems good, a bit big for him at the moment but not for long ...
Applique is good, no problem with itching. Fabric a bit lighter than other Boden t-shirts I have bought but still feels like very good quality.

As with the motorbike t-shirt I purchased had to size up. It is ideal length but hangs off shoulders - still will last.
My son chose this for the Queen's Jubilee celebrations and this year's olympic themed celebrations too. Might be in the washer a lot!
