Was thrilled to get this in a bright "yolk" yellow, as yellow t-shirt needed for PE at school. Seemed good quality and fit. Almost ordered 2 more. Until I washed it.... Is now not just a faded yellow but a pale cream colour and frankly horrible. Fortunately washed it on its own or I suspect everything else would be a bright yellow. Complete waste of money. The "mustard" one from a few years ago, meanwhile, is still good and yellow.

sorry after reading the reviews I sent it straight back, as I didn't want to risk my other clothes turning blue after being in the machine and there is no way I'm going to hand wash it.

I bought these tee-shirts in colbalt blue aged 5 and 11 - i usually buy them three or four plain Boden tee-shirts each season as i find them to be excellent. These looked great with the blue and red board shorts i had bought them but during the first wash at 40 degrees the colour ran badly and runied some of my husbands shirts and a couple of my favourite tunics. To be fair to Boden they did write to me and warn me this might be a problem and offered to exchange them but the letter arrived 8 days too late !

I ordered the green as I really liked the colour on the website and cataloge but more of a dark/washed out bottle green. It did feel nice and soft and usual good quality.

BEWARE - Absolutely appaling colour run on this item. I also bought a blue t-shirt from the same range which did not run at all. Something seriously wrong here! I read and washed as per the instructions, but the colour run on this item has COMPLETELY RUINED hundreds of pounds worth of clothes, including other new items bought from Boden. I am furious. My son won't wear this after one wash, as it is now PINK! The dye has also rubbed off on my cream sofa, don't know yet if that will come out... AVOID. Or buy at your peril. You have been warned.

I bought this is red, royal blue and light blue and was really pleased with them when I unwrapped them. However, they were ruined in the wash and ruined everything else in that wash (including lots of new, gorgeous Boden clothes which I was devastated about). They do come with a warning that they run so I put them in with other brights on a 30 wash (usually enough to combat running). The red in particular is now a horrid shade of rose pink, as is the rest of the wash and the blues have also both faded significantly. Completely impractical for children's clothes and not at all characteristic of the usual hight quality from Boden.

Ordered this in several different colours to go with patterned shorts etc for my two sons age 7 & 5. These are much better quality than last years version and fit my slim children nicely. My 5 year old loved the dog motif but the 7 year old wasn't so keen! The colours are not quite as bright as I expected from the on line pictures but still match nicely with many things.

Bought the yolk for my yellow-loving son, in 9-10 (his normal size). It's fine - nice and long, a fairly slim cut (good for my son; probably less good for chunkier children), soft lightweight fabric. Unfortunately my son hated the colour which he described as "too banana-y", and he wasn't very impressed with the dog motif either. So it's a return for us, though as plain t-shirts go there's nothing wrong with it. I'm going to swap it for another stripey polo (which my son liked much better).
