Bought the pool rocket design for my tall 4 and a half year old. I went for the 7-8 year old size and they fit him - they should last for next summer too. Haven't had to wash them yet, so can't comment on that. Perhaps the Boden sizing needs to be re-thought, as I seem to always have to 'size up' when buying for my son.

Lovely swimming shorts. My 3 year old wears them around the house; he likes them that much. We got the whale print and he can't wait to get to the beach come summer! Did need to go up a size as he is tall. The bathers seem to be well made and do wash well too.

This is the second time I've bought these for my son,who has worn them in swimming pool to the beach. Washes well and dry, stayed true to colour and shape. Can't ask for more than that, very pleased and he's likes the funKy patterns, better than a pair of boring blue togs.

Bought the lawn crabs shorts in 7-8 for my tall 5 1/2 year old. they are perfect. so much so that i then went and bought the guppy and rockets ones too! They are generously sized but not huge by any means. Mind you I am hoping to get next year out of them. They have already been washed and are perfect. worn on holidays too and were a big hit! lovely quality and a great buy :)

Ordered these for my little boy who is nearly 4. I bought the 4-5. He is average build but quite tall, the length was great but could of done with a bit more room in the bottom area. I bought the Banana print and ordered a matching pair for Daddy, they look great!!!!
