My son has this in 7-8yrs Navy. He normally wears 9-10 but in my experience Boden sweatshirts are generous. The 7-8 half zip fits him well with some room to grow (he is 135cm tall and average build). The colour is a lovely deep navy which has not faded with washing. The yellow trim really lifts the top and looks lovely. I was worried the yellow might go dull when washed with darks but it is still bright and lovely. I have bought Boden half zips before and this is of the same good quality. A good buy but i reccomend going down a size.

I ordered a number of things for both my baby girl and 3 year old boy. I was thrilled with everything but this. I ordered the green and blue stripe which is not nearly as nice in colour or as bright as the picture. The blue appears and feels like it is printed on. As others have said the sleeves and neck trim are unfinished. I am not keen on this look. I have sent this back.

This is a great sweatshirt, really well made in durable cotton. I have a slim tall boy and find the top roomy enough to wear over layers without becoming tight, and the sleeve length seems generous (my boy has inherited my long arms!). And decent thick cotton - I can see this wearing well

I bought this for my almost 7yr old daughter as there aren't any for girls this year. The only choice was 2 zip up hooded tops. She is the same size as the boys in her class and the 7-8 is massive! Size 6-7 would be better. I am sending it back and hope the age 5-6 fits. The turquoise colour is lovely and red & yellow details make it suitable for girls too.
Boden - please could we have more girls long sleeved tops/sweatshirts - this is England after all...

Over the years, I have bought several of these half zip tops for my three boys. This year the quality, is poor and not up to the usual standard I have come to expect.
I purchased the navy top in a size 7-8 for my 6 1/2. The sizing is fine, but the top looks and feels cheap. The material is thin and feels rough, and the colour is a washed out navy. Although I don't mind the "rugged" look around the sleeves and neckline, this year, the top looks unfinished rather than trendy.
As I live in the Middle East, returning it might not be a possibility, therefore this has been a wasted buy.

Ordered this sweatshirt in blue/yellow for my 5 year old son to wear for his sports activities, and it is perfect. The 5-6 is a roomy fit on his average height, skinny frame, so it should last him more than one season. As far as he is concerned it is soft, easy to get over his head, and not fiddly or fussy so he's happy with it.

Color really is brighter than on a picture. I am very happy, quality excellent. The size a bit more than it was expected.

I ordered one of these for my 2 year old as he loves the half zip that I got him last year (which he is still wearing). But Boden, what have you done to the styling at the neckline and sleeve ends?? It basically looks like someone forgot to finish it off. So I'll sadly, be sending this back. Oh, if only you had stuck to last year's design I would be ordering another. If you can get over the tatty and scruffy neckline and sleeve ends, then its otherwise a nice top.
