My son is a typical slim 11yo and it's usually hard to find any Boden trousers/shorts that fit well (there is usually an excess of cloth once you've hauled in the elastic on the adjustable waist). However, these shorts, once adjusted, are a nice fit on him. The only problem is the decorative buckles on the sides - if you do use the adjustable elastic, these buckles then stick out at a silly angle. (I have had to just cut them off). Boden, please make more clothes to fit slim kids!

Ordered age 11 and 12 for my almost 10 year old. He preferred the size age 12. adjustable waist so a nice fit is obtained. Slightly thinner material than similar shorts last year but still lovely quality. We kept the brown and green ones. (The blue colourway was a little dull.) These will be worn often if the weather improves!

I think the accessary of the short, the metal buckle, is changed to lighter material such as plastic.

I have returned year on year for these shorts and my twins live in them . They would have them on 12 months of the year such is the addiction to shorts but this particular style just looks so trendy and after 12 months of washing still colour stands out. More checks please as last years are being mourned but I am sure the leaf design will soon become a best friend.

I bought some of these shorts a few years ago for my son, they still just fit, have been worn and washed to death and still look fantastic. Bought the red and beige ones for him this year. They fit well are good quality and most importantly, my son loves them. He is very a slim 10 year old of average size, the age 10 fit perfectly. Thank you Boden!

got these for my petite 4.5 year old and the age 4 fits lovely. I shall be pulling the adjustable waist in slightly but that's the norm for us. They are a great length and the pockets aren't too massive and bulky like some I've seen which are more pocket that shorts! Thumbs up!
